I can't imagine why anyone pays to post here anymore. As far as I can see all of his old posts are still up. Some airy-fairy comment about libel doesn't ring true to me. Surely if he made a post that Baj or Steve didn't like this evening it could have been deleted and a gentle warning issued. It looks like a sledgehammer has been used to crack a nut.

If it were up to me the reason for his banning would already have been posted (see my "member departures" thread in the suggestions forum). Unfortunately that never put into practice as it wasn't agreed upon by all the mods/admin.

The main reason I visit this site regularly is that occasionally, very occasionally, you get a bit of inside information. I had no difficulty in ignoring leftback's anti Cortese bias for the snippets of information he provided. They made a welcome change from what most of us have to offer which is opinions.

I disagree that this is any definition of the function of the forum...I joined in the dark days when it looked as we might fold & was grateful for any information that could be gleaned but inside information on the team & transfer activity were & are a long way from my expectation. I am not 'in the know' in any way shape or form although I did get one piece of information about the missing programme from a friend who works with someone married to one of the coaching staff & passed it on for what it was...I couldn't vouch for it's accuracy, naturally. If one of my employees here where I work was passing on information about my business that could be sensitive for any reason I'd leave my footprint on their a*se as they left....we're supposed to be supporting the club not undermining it & I'm glad that our moderators see it that way - if indeed that is the case.

TBF, even if it was the club, which i doubt, i wondered how long it would take.
