Pleasent temp today mid 30's but sun was obscured by some weird white fluffy things in the sky.

progress.gif 0-1 down .... 2 minutes later peno 5 mins later 2 -1 up ..... you can thank me, not adkins, Lambo or barney!!

Not a cup cake, muffin or woot in sight, although one camel toe may have helped with the 3rd goal!!

Are you suggesting that Ohio's lucky smoke is just total bullsh*t then?

Brilliant result today, ok again a bit of a slow start. If we can sort that out we will be up there. All season I have said we will finish in the top 2, but Brighton seem to have the edge. We need to beat them at home that is for sure.

3 points on Tuesday and we will be in the playoffs and above Bournemouth.

To come from behind two weeks in a row shows great spirit and a never say die attitiude.

Up the Saints!!

I've decided I've got a lucky England Shirt.

Went into town last sat and bought the new Red shirt and wore it last Saturday.

Wasn't wearing it today and at half time I changed and put it on and hey presto!

So we have 3 "porte bonheures" competing for superiority.

We shall test them come Tuesday evening then. Now it will be dark in Dubai so Eric will have to guess what the sky is doing, about

3pm in Columbus or Cleveland so Ohio will have to sneak out of his office for a "lucky smoke" and the new England Red Shirt will doubtlessly be worn under the Sash so we shall see.

Haha. It's lucky to me and I'm sticking to it!!

I work at home and go out to the garage for a smoke. I also cheat. I wear my radio headphones during my lucky smokes.......It still counts though, right? :)

Still counts, a lucky smoke is a lucky smoke regardless of the circumstances especially in a country where a 4 year old can be held accountable for running over a granny with her tricycle.

I havn't felt this good about a result for a long time. We cannot be complacent but, in a very tight division, we are well and truly in the mix now with a winnable game on Tuesday. We absolutely MUST follow this up with a win.

We are in this position after another shocking start to the season and still too many players not at their best yet. In theory there is better to come.

Good sustitutions and a solid win today. I am really chuffed. Makes the weekend feel much better.

Just got back home after match. (might live 2 mins away from ground but needed to do a beer run!!)

1st half, ref / linesmen were terrible.

Notts should have been out of sight before we got the penalty, missed two good headers.

Puncheon not very good. Didn't realise Morgan was playing, was very quiet.

After the penalty, did not look troubled apart from Kelvin and his take the time over a kick moment.

Chaplow definitely made a difference when he came on.

Great goal by Lallana at the end.

Man of Match for me would be Barnard, County defence didn't know what do with him.

Saints fan were fantastic, constant singing throughout.

What is it about Saints, can't we ever do things the easy way? I do wonder whether our defenders are plain effing thick sometimes. They give away so many goals from simple set pieces - more than any other team I'll wager - and yet we never seem to be able to score from corners ourselves.

Meanwhile Brighton with no money and a team of players nobody's ever heard of sail majestically on their way. How embarrassing is that going to be if come season's end, Moneypots, got it all Saints only finish second to those penniless, nonentities from Sussex? If we had a really good manager we'd walk it surely, Brighton are proving it ain't that difficult to get out of this league?

Great result. Was utterly depressed and just went to dump out last nights kebab when I could vaguely hear the of penalty. I was difficult to focus the ears and the sphincter at the same time but there you go. Try it. Still on the pan for 2-1 but basically finishing up by then so I could enjoy the 2nd goal. Bog roll in the left hamd, Right hand fist punching the air.

Need to focus now on teh Daggers; should be doen for that one; can't wait innit.

Why can we only play well one half? Adkins needs to get them straight off the blocks, not giving every team a head start. All the rubbish I've read about plan B's on this site, makes me think that our Plan A needs a bit of work just now. Happy with win though, and going to have a few beers to celebrate.

I wasnt listening to any radio report but the way I saw it it all changed on the penalty / sending off.

Does anyone know, were we looking better before this point? Were we improved straight away after half time or after this sending off?

Great results and things seem to be going very much like last season...............Oct\Nov was when we finally found our feet after a fairly dodgy first 5-10 games.

If this season pans out like last then we'll be there or thereabouts for automatic - and if RL gets back on form we should be aiming for top.

I suppose Brighton have benefitted with having a good manager and a proper pre-season without having to deal with sackings, deaths and caretakers. God knows what happened with Saints pre-season, but things were obviously not right. At least we seem to have a chairman that has made two good managerial decisions in a row! Great tp be so close to auto promotion!

Bad day for the Guv'nor! He must hate playing us.

Great comeback despite us not being at the top of our game.... quite unlike us. Lets hope this is not a false dawn.

Really looking forward to the Daggers game. My first evening game since god knows when. Can't wait.

Some tough games ahead. Realistically we need to be in the playoffs by January but within 6 points of second place.

Based on our current form and how tight the league is then a few teams will have to really up their form and ours will have to faulter quite a bit to make that happen.

I would be content with striking distance of 2nd and in the playoffs around Xmas.

The table's looking rosy, shame I couldn't listen to the game, but a win's a win. I looked at the bench today and thought that, despite a lack of quality up front, (I'll give Bignall time...), it was immensely strong.

COmplacency could set in against Dagenham, but I don't think it will. I reckon a hefty scoreline could be in order, with a similar performance to the Huddersfield home game last season.

Our favourite scoreline is back, a run of 3-1 away wins would be lush.

Great result today lads.

Heard we were 1-0 down and feared the worst, but credit to the boys.

Nice to get back to our old favourite of winning 3-1. Great to share the goals around a bit too. Lallana truly makes the difference to us - He's just got that guile needed to open teams up.

Glad Richardson got his 1st game under his belt too. Bring on tuesday.

Just seen on the Beeb commentary:

55:56 Karl Hawley takes a shot. Fantastic save by Kelvin Davis.

Can anyone at the game today relay how it was? I thought Kelv was very good last week, aside from one dodgy dish out. He's a man on form....

Was very good save from where I was stood.

Ball came back in though and the County player then missed his header from close.

Excellent result. It is always good to win away and especiallt from being a goal down at HT.

Double delight though, beating InceyWincey on his first match at home.Still better Notts County realise early on what a charlatan the "guv'nor" really is.
