Fowllyd Posted 26 October, 2010 Posted 26 October, 2010 Gregory Isaacs, aka the Cool Ruler, has died of cancer at the age of 59. A great singer with an unmistakeable voice, once referred to by an NME writer way back in the 80s as 'the only man cool enough to wear flares and get away with it'. He made some fabulous records; Night Nurse is probably his best known, but there were plenty more, especially during his peak period of the late 70s and early 80s. RIP Gregory.
