Lighthouse Posted 26 October, 2010 Posted 26 October, 2010 Wonder what it's like in terms of accessibility and parking? Is it easy enough just to rock up and park or are you better off parking further out of London and getting the tube in to West Brompton?
Verbal Posted 26 October, 2010 Posted 26 October, 2010 Get the tube into Earls Court, not West Brompton. Parking is zilch. Everywhere around is either double red lines or residents' only.
franny Posted 26 October, 2010 Posted 26 October, 2010 When I go I park at Richmond (NCP next to station as well as large car park two minute walk away alongside A316) and then as Verbal says tube to Earls Court
fanimal Posted 26 October, 2010 Posted 26 October, 2010 There is an Underground car park below the main hall if you can get a pass....
SNSUN Posted 26 October, 2010 Posted 26 October, 2010 From Swindon (?), M4 it to Junction 3, follow the signs to Hounslow West, park there, £4.50 weekdays, free at weekends, then tube it in to Earls Court. I can personally recommend this way, as it gives my company money. :-)
Petersfield Saint Posted 27 October, 2010 Posted 27 October, 2010 Richmond NCP or Hammersmith Kings Mall car park then tube to Earls Court; as others have said parking around earls Court is almost non-existant.
Dr Who? Posted 27 October, 2010 Posted 27 October, 2010 It is fine I parked there and watched Muse I think. But we 100% parked ok.
Ponty Posted 27 October, 2010 Posted 27 October, 2010 If you can afford the ticket the on site parking is plentiful and safe. It's really not worth the hassle of doing it any other way to save a few quid.
Lighthouse Posted 28 October, 2010 Author Posted 28 October, 2010 Well, thanks for clearing that one up.
thefunkygibbons Posted 28 October, 2010 Posted 28 October, 2010 Free parking down at Southfields and a few stops in on the tube Also puts you further out of town on the A3 for a run home
dronskisaint Posted 28 October, 2010 Posted 28 October, 2010 Agree with Ponty...unless the event is huge the on-site car park is usually adequate. They moved the Boat Show about 6 years ago so my information may not be up to date but there was a huge open air car park in Seagrave Road (plus some on street parking) behind the West Brompton Road Entrance. Worth Googling to see if it's still there - it used to be about a quarter of the price of the Earls Court 2 car park.
