He could do a good job for us I reckon, but he's said about going to the MLS at some time in the next few years

With Fonte, Jaidi, Seaborne, Martin, Butterfield, Richardson, Harding and Dickson I am not sure we actually need another defender.

it's not like no one has wanted him, he's turned down moves to lower CC and League clubs in hope of holding out for a decent paycheck @ a Prem or top end CC club, but yeah, dont think we need one, maybe next season as Jaidi's replacement.

If he can still see straight... He managed to damage his eye putting his contact lens in which then got infected and he needed a cornea transplant (ouch!)

Not a particularly impressive WC in my opinion. Could do a job in League 1, but as has been stated we're fine for defenders at the moment, and hopefully we will be in the Championship next season.

Think he is just what we need - a dominant centre half to play alongside Fonte and he'd make a great captain. Accept that he is probably holding out for more money than we'd be prepared to offer but would certainly bolster our defence and be a strong leader on the pitch.

DeMerit would walk into our side, lol @ the people saying they wouldn't take him. Will probably go to a decent European club - as adriansfc says above, he's been looking at moving to Germany.

A free agent we should be looking at though is Febian Brandy. Guly, Barnard, Lambert and Brandy up front would be more than sufficient.

If we have money to spend then we should spend it on a striker or a wide man - Not in a position where we are already strong.

He would be a great signing, Jaidi is pretty much on the way out of the door along with Wotton (should be already) and Connelly.

 

We need to think about replacing them, especially a striker and a new central midfielder.

 

I think we are pretty blessed for wide men tbh.
