PC -based music software

Need some recommendations people.

 

I need a decent "drum machine", a synth and something that allows the recording and manipulation of stuff from audio-in (be that live guitar, vocals, deck..whatever)

Drum kit from hell. If you can find some software to run that, it's very, very good.

I use Addictive Drums and get some brilliant results from that, my studio of choice is Cubase

Yeah, had to re-install AD to get it working in the end. Just the demo at the mo, but a great bit of kit. Need to start on some custom drum patterns and then dust off the bass and SG this weekend

Anyone know where I can get Audio/MIDI interface hardware cheap? I used an Edirol UA-25 at college and that seemed pretty good, although the cheapest i've found it is at around £120.

Will need some sequencing software and probably a MIDI controller (keyboard) as well.
