Jimmy Gabriel's Halo Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 £14 train £5 taxi - could walk but the cabbies need my charity £1 can of ginger beer and the Sun for the train £3 pint - pub £3 pint - pub £3 pint - pub £3 pint - Dell Bar £3 pint - ground £3 pint - ground £2 ladbrokes - Kelvin Davies to score first goal (or some other ****ing pointless bet) £3 pint - half time £7 football pixies half-inch it. Dunno where it goes..too drunk by then to care.. ---- £50 £50 on each home game would stop me going as well. My costs are approx. 2 gallons of diesel (for the car, not me) from Worthing and back £10 ?, parking £4.20, hot choc at the stadium £1.50. Definately no beer as I'm driving but I do stop for a pint at my local, just to laugh at all the Chelski/Manure plastics watching Sky, before I go home. Total cost approx £18.50. Oh and a packet of Nobby's Nuts with my pint, another 70p. I know how to really live, you know.
cryoman1965 Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 Got to go. I have an automatic day pass on the ****, all cleared by the fuerher. I must use this opportunity no matter who we play.
CitySaint Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 I can understand this post, but will drag my arse up to the ground. I think I feel p*ssed off as I trapsed all the way to Huddersfield for that drivel last week, and the prospect of losing to Oldham doesn't really sit well with me. BUT, if I get half cut before, during and after then I will feel much better so booze dependency is the way forward.

Dalek2003 Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 I prefer a flask of nice hot tomato soup and a scotch egg myself.

richardc Posted 23 October, 2010 Posted 23 October, 2010 richardc - you don't happen to be the chap who gets on the train at Shoreham station every home game are you? The 10:37 from Hove so about 10:50 from Shoreham. No i'm not there must be two of us in Shoreham then - a real hot bed of support

I've tried parking in Woolston and crossing the bridge - still haven't found the best solution.
Charlie Wayman Posted 23 October, 2010 Posted 23 October, 2010 The club has my ST money already so in that respect I feel I have already done my bit. Dunno why, but I really want a nice quiet relaxed weekend just pottering around the house, maybe going for a walk down by the sea and stopping off for a mug of ale on the way home. Maybe I am getting old. Maybe it is because I am feeling the pinch in my wallet - this bloody recession is far from over, if you ask me. Even with the ST bought already a day out at the footeh still leaves me £50 lighter. I dunno, just can't be arsed to go tomorrow. Chances are if I stay at home the lads will slot home six goals and I will feel a mug for not making the journey from Brighton along the coast. I dunno. I dunno. I dunno. Just really can't be arsed, is all. I feel a bit guilty, but there it is. Anyone else the same? Reading your quotes can't help wondering if you are permanently P****ed. In which case will you ever know whether or not you went to the game? No wonder there's always a friggin' queue for the bogs! Clear your mind man and start making decisions other thanI dunno, I dunno, I dunno! ;-)
saint_bert Posted 23 October, 2010 Posted 23 October, 2010 Im not going. Saving myself for next week.
hoozonside10 Posted 23 October, 2010 Posted 23 October, 2010 I always had a few beers before the game - have done for the last ten/15 years or so - anyway, my son wanted to go to his first game a couple of weeks ago so I went to a game alcohol free for the first time..... only turns out we've been relegated! Twice the bloke next to me said!!

Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 23 October, 2010 Posted 23 October, 2010 No i'm not there must be two of us in Shoreham then - a real hot bed of support Quite probably Eric Shadick, one of the London Saints; stops off at the Guide Dog for several.

Window Cleaner Posted 23 October, 2010 Posted 23 October, 2010 Did you bother? he'll no doubt tell us next week when his ban ends
theyin Posted 24 October, 2010 Posted 24 October, 2010 No. I'm going, to me it's still a magical feeling walking into SMS to see your heroes play. When we win, it's even sweeter. Shiftwork limits the number of games I can watch, so I grab whatever chance I get with aplomb. Plus I want to text vote my MOTM. "heroes" - haven't heard that one said about a footballer for some time. You're either seriously deluded or aged 6
