Oldham Build Up Thread

Two changes to the line up from last weekend i think. Barnard in for Guly and Chaplow for the suspended Hammond. Watching Nigel speak about Rickie i think he is fine. Nigel just said Rickie will have to wear a head bandage as the stitches are still in his head.

3-0 victory i believe, with Barnard, Lallana and Rickie scoring!

Davis

Butterfield - Fonte - Seaborne - Harding

Puncheon - Schneiderlin - Chaplow - Lallana

Guly

Barnard

For some reason I have a good feeling about Lambo being out... I don't know why but I think we might put in a better performance...

2-1 to Saints methinks, although it won't be an easy game at all. Oldham are a good side, they'll cause us problems.

Further to their plight.....can they reform under a slightly different name ? I suggest they are allowed to and start in the Sunday morning pub league, division 7.

who knows, someone might bank roll them and they'll shoot through the divisions and then implode again...remember Road Sea,although at least a couple of their players actually did work for them like Ray Collins.

I hate to say this, but Oldham are doing OK at the moment - they'll park the bus and hope for a sloppy defensive moment to hit us on the break, which we have a habit of gifting teams. Having said that, if they play with just one striker we'll be more able to play our game and get a good result. Suppose it comes down to how well their manager has done his homework, how he sets the team out and how well they can deliver a game plan.

Difficult to predict - 1-1 I'm thinking, but Saints hopefully will motor now and get a 3-1 win.

this is a good looking side, unfortunately we won't see it today, or not at the start at least, we'll play the undroppable RL and he probably won't score from open play.

Rickie's still not fit from the concussion he suffered against Huddersfield apparently, although I bet we'll see him on the bench.

well it can't be exactly the same can it, Morgan for Deano to be sure but probably about the same for the rest.

I am convinced that RL cannot be dropped unless he's really really unfit and the manager has to live with that.

You seem to be suggesting that he's got a contractual right to start??

37 goals last season suggests another reason he doesn't get dropped, not to mention all the assists
