sambosa75 Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 Hi all, Thought you guys may want to take a look at this. I work for Groupon and we carry a deal from a lifestyle-related company every day with a minimum of 60% discount. I get no gain from promoting these deals to you but there are genuinely some pretty good ones every now and again for spas, restaurants and places to visit. As there are a few fellow Saints fans in London I'll post the London, Southampton and National deals. If anyone wants me to include any other citys for me to post just let me know. Admin, if you deem this as pushing a product let me know and I'll stop doing it but there genuinely are some really good deals that are worth taking advantage of. Groupon was featured in Forbes magazine in August as the fastest growing company ever. We've made £1bn quicker than any company including Facebook, Google, SaintsWeb etc... SOUTHAMPTON DEAL OF THE DAY: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/southampton LONDON DEAL OF THE DAY: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/london NATIONAL DEAL OF THE DAY: http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal Happy bargain hunting folks! SuperMikey Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 You don't need to put in your credit card details, but there's not much on there worth shouting about tbh.
dune Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 £8.75 instead of £22 for 12 cup cakes, wow.
franny Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 I have used this site and regularily book the restaurants, typically £50/60 meals for £20, as long as you pick and choose good value
Sheaf Saint Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 I'm signed up the the Sheffield one and I recently bought for me and my GF an all-over body massage for £9. NINE QUID!!!!!!!! I was put onto it by a mate and my first thought was that if you find something on the internet that looks too good to be true, it always is. But she booked up hers so I did the same and hey presto. Haven't actually had them yet mind, but I've spoken with the masseur and it's all legit.

sambosa75 Posted 21 October, 2010 Author Share Posted 21 October, 2010 Because obviously Forbes would feature an internet scam... As I said, not every deal will be suited to you but 60-80% off a restuarant of as Bexy said, a massage for £9, it would be rude not to.
scotty Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 £8.75 instead of £22 for 12 cup cakes, wow. I know the guy that started that cupcake place in west quay, hope that offer doesnt mean he's struggling with it
dune Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 I know the guy that started that cupcake place in west quay, hope that offer doesnt mean he's struggling with it If he normally expects £22 for 12 cup cakes I think the answer to your question is pretty obvious. Kadeem Hardison Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 Brilliant! Thanks sambosa! I got a pedicure reduced from £45 to £10 and I've also managed to invest some money with a Nigerian prince - looking to quadruple my money on that one! Thanks again buddy! hamster Posted 21 October, 2010 Share Posted 21 October, 2010 Cupcakes if people have been living under a rock for the past 12 months, are the in thing. BIG fancy cup cakes, people love them. £22 for 12 is the going rate I'd say. In fact, I know someone from Deal who has a stall in Chatham (Pentagon Centre selling them and they are usually all gone really quickly (they also sell trendy breads). For the posher poster there is always that massively overpriced cupcake shop opposite the castle.

If someone had said the words "cupcake" and "trendy breads" back then they'd have been kicked to the ground by a bunch of chavs and smashed over the head with knuckledusters before being robbed by some smackheads while still laying on the ground. Have to say those cupcakes in West Quay look great, especially the giant birthday cake ones.

I remember when it first opened early 70's. The one and only time i shoplifted was from a shop there; a set of poker-dice! I am still ashamed to admit that but should add that my 'mate' put them in my pocket and made us run out, I couldn't set foot there again for years due to the guilt and shame. I once saw Don Estelle in the full Lofty gear, mic in hand hawking his album, a sad sight indeed.
ChrisPY Posted 22 October, 2010 Share Posted 22 October, 2010 If you don't trust it, ring up or email the company where you're going to use the voucher to see if it's legit. Hopefully Regginas will get back to me soon.

doubleonothing Posted 22 October, 2010 Share Posted 22 October, 2010 Me and the Mrs use this site a lot in London. There are some quite good deals on there. Got one for a 3 course meal with drink for £13 the other day. Very good it was to! There was one on monday for a meal, drink and cinema ticket for around £15. Like I say keep an eye on it and there are some good ones. Another one I've used is "Taste of London" which gets you some great discounts on meals (Think you can get the card for free or £1 for a month or so)

For Bodeans in Fulham. The manager there is called Teagan and she's a bit of a minx. Insisted I tried the food for free, it was ridiculously good!
