Draino76 Posted 20 October, 2010 Share Posted 20 October, 2010 I'm going at the end of November. I need cheap beer and women, in that order. Does anyone know if it is worth getting on the train to any other Moroccan cities? Have the got any sports bars there?

Draino76 Posted 20 October, 2010 Author Share Posted 20 October, 2010 All alone; my missus has no holiday left, wasting it on pointless trips to Estonia. Dog, come over! I'm staying here: http://www.hotelpacha.net/ only £195 for 10 nights starting Nov 28th. Ryanair fly there. I'm horrified that beer in the nightclubs may cost up to a tenner; but this is Africa FFS. Thats their whole monthly wage isn't it?

Essruu Posted 20 October, 2010 Share Posted 20 October, 2010 Went last year. The Square is absolutely mental. There are a few bars and alcohol shops, but it's a Muslim country so good luck with your clubbing. Me, JB, Turkish and Turkish's missus are going there for a week earlier in November. A day of Tagine cookery lessons, off-road buggying in the desert, a Spa & Massage day and a trip out to Essaouira are all worth doing. Also, just wander around the Medina, the parks and through the souks at night. It's worth finding a decent local taxi driver to explore outside of the Medina. And NEVER believe any of the locals who tell you the way you're going is closed so they'll show you the way to the square etc. Annoying and NONE of them are genuine - they all just want money for helping you.
