Newcastle U Lyme Saint Posted 18 October, 2010 Posted 18 October, 2010 Always park on the main road outside ocean village, or the road adjacent with that curvy house thing on the corner under the bridge - does very nicely to get back out and up to Staffs with no hassle
adrian lord Posted 18 October, 2010 Posted 18 October, 2010 For 20 years now, as a Saints exile in Kent, I have parked on Cemetary Road, just off the Avenue, below the Cowherds. It's a 20-25 minute walk to the ground, but when you get back to your car there is very rarely much traffic to contend with as you leave town. Presumably if you live in Cambridge, you go M11 - M25 clockwise - M3. If so, this could be the place for you. Parking is free on Saturdays and there is always space. SSSShhh! Don't tell everyone. I live in Norfolk and this is definitely the quickest, most stress free way out of town and home.
John Boy Saint Posted 18 October, 2010 Posted 18 October, 2010 im not sure i do? Think about it, it gets very busy there already!
St Steve Posted 18 October, 2010 Posted 18 October, 2010 Alot of selfish *****s park in the residential streets off of Portsmouth Road before walking over the Itchen Bridge making it a nightmare for people who wish to park in their own road near their house when there is very little parking in the first place and the stupid ****ing council wont put up restrictive parking signs. What happened to the park and ride in Burseldon? It seems more Saints fans live outside of the city and drive in, whos stupid idea was it to build a stadium in the city centre, should have been next to the moterway.
Dalek2003 Posted 18 October, 2010 Posted 18 October, 2010 Plymouth Argyle and Leyton Orient parked their bus in the goalmouth inside the stadium, seems popular for some teams.
hamster Posted 18 October, 2010 Posted 18 October, 2010 Hello, Rodent. Is your house the one up for sale? I drove past a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure. Cheesr for outing me, no it's not. it is really, don't tell no-one. btw, fancy a bevvy before the brighton game? i'm free but mrs h says that you absolutely are responsible for at the very least seeeing me into a taxi.
pezza Posted 20 October, 2010 Posted 20 October, 2010 Give a £120 to St Marys Church they will give you a parking pass for their car park for the season. They do fantastic work for the homeless with soup kitchens etc. And have been great supporters with Marcus and Ted Bates memorial services. Money well spent!

bender Posted 20 October, 2010 Posted 20 October, 2010 Ever since we've been at St Mary's I use the one near the rowing club on Northam Bridge. As you head towards the ground from Bitterne take the left just at the end of the bridge and come back on yourself. Costs a fiver and i've never been held up turning right on the bridge to head home, one road all the way to the M27 from there. I use that area but cheekily park on the bit of grass next to the rowing club.
Thedelldays Posted 20 October, 2010 Posted 20 October, 2010 behind london rd... a couple of quid on a saturday and free for the night games

Dalek2003 Posted 21 October, 2010 Posted 21 October, 2010 Oldham have booked their bus place, first ten yards of the pitch in front of the goal, same as last year.
