This year's campaign to stop an X Factor Christmas number 1

Agree with this in principle but I wont be buying it. Having thought long and hard about it I've decided I don't actually care. I'm sure having a number 1 single is massive for the artist concerned and all their fans, but for the average mong on the streets it's just a f**king list of songs FFS!

I love the X-factor so will probably be buying who wins its effort. My mum, sisters and aunties also like it to and its becoming a bit of a tradidition that a buy the cd for them all for christmas. The other songs mentioned above are nice too though so I'll buy them as well.

Terrible , if it stops bands like One Direction getting to number 1, after all the years of work they have put in to get to where they are now, i will be disgusted.

They are such terrific boys, and I can't wait to meet them. I follow all of them on twitter, facebook and matesgates

I've seen 4'33" live. As someone whose hearing was wrecked by too many Grand Funk Railroad concerts, it's hard to think how 4'33" could possibly be bettered.

There's also a vinyl recording, but you do become a little conscious of the scratches, and it doesn't quite convey the ambience of the piece as it's performed (if that's the word) by a full orchestra and watched by a full house.

This new "campaign" about stopping X Factor getting to number 1 is starting to become as annoying as the said programme.
