Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 Maybe the carpets cost a bit more than expected... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1320426/Mukesh-Ambani-Indias-richest-man-builds-home-valued-630m.html Hide and seek would ROCK in that place.
JustMike Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 he may have a shed load of cash but man, that building is ugly!
lambertsrightleg Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 that building is hideous!! i'd laugh in his face if i ever met him
dubai_phil Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 As a comment says.... And you guys still give Development Aid to India
buctootim Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 I know a guy who builds pointlessly huge houses for the super rich. He says that without exception, if he goes back to visit them a year or so after moving in, they are living in a little group of just five or six of the smallest rooms in the house. They build them for show, but then realise they dont like watching tv or sleeping in rooms the size of an airport lounge. No-one really uses more than about 3,000sq feet / 300sq m.
Window Cleaner Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 As a comment says.... And you guys still give Development Aid to India the Brits give development aid to the whole world and then wonder how the buggers got the armaments to take them hostage and eventually kill them with.
Window Cleaner Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 he may have a shed load of cash but man, that building is ugly! in fact probably uglier than my garden shed, needs some Saints curtains to add a touch of class to the place.
Brussels Saint Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 I still marvel at how lucky we got with Markus, when you consider all the jokers there have already been and could be out there. How ever did a quiet, decent, understated billionare come to love the Saints so much. Could you imagine Markus ever deciding to build a house like this? RIP big fella, we'll miss you for a long time.
kraftwerk26 Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 all the people in the slums below must be thinking what a ****
Lighthouse Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 all the people in the slums below must be thinking what a **** That and "where can I get a ladder and a crowbar".
Victor Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 the Brits give development aid to the whole world and then wonder how the buggers got the armaments to take them hostage and eventually kill them with. A. No we don't. B. They get the armaments because we sell them to them. It helps reduce your taxes (unless you're a billionaire, in which case you don't pay any). C. I think you'll find it's the Americans that kill the 'Brit' hostages.
Dalek2003 Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 Is it finished ? Have to say, it looks awful.
Charlie Wayman Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 Maybe the carpets cost a bit more than expected... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1320426/Mukesh-Ambani-Indias-richest-man-builds-home-valued-630m.html How long before it all falls down? Actually, you can buy these construction kits in Ikea so quite straghtforward to build yourself a look-a-like although you may not want to copy the electrics. Three heli-pads are useless of course as only one helicopter could operate at a time as the down-wash from the other two would trash all three! If this much thought went into the design of his house, we should rejoice that he never got his hands on Saints.
JustMike Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 Has someone misread the instructions? damn indikea staff!
SNSUN Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 Actually makes Ted Bates statue mk1 an impressive work of art. You can't buy taste.
Badger Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 That and "where can I get a ladder and a crowbar". Didn't realise it was built in Liverpool.
Saint-scooby Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 location location location, it is in a slum
The9 Posted 15 October, 2010 Posted 15 October, 2010 I'm shocked at how many people bothered to click the link, tbh.
opthomps Posted 16 October, 2010 Posted 16 October, 2010 What a selfish rich buffoon. Someone needs to have a word with him. It will be the biggest carbon footprint by any small family in the world!
Joesaint Posted 16 October, 2010 Posted 16 October, 2010 It is ugly, I understand with loads a money you can do what you want but to have that much money and to do that!!! The guy is a c**k!!!!
Saint Ockton Posted 16 October, 2010 Posted 16 October, 2010 Surely its not finished... there's loads of ladders up and down it
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 October, 2010 Posted 16 October, 2010 Terrible design, terrible waste of money - how did this guy manage to get so rich with such poor judgement?!
tttdcs Posted 16 October, 2010 Posted 16 October, 2010 Surely its not finished... there's loads of ladders up and down it The ladders are probably holding the building up (in accordance with local building regulations)!
