david in sweden Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 (edited) between now and the end of November. After Saturday we are 13th and just looking ahead I noted that FIVE of the next SEVEN games are against teams currently above us. Oct currently 16 Hudd-fd (a) 6 23 Oldham (h) 7 30 Notts C (a) 17 Nov. 2 Dag & Red.(h) 21 13 Carlisle (a) 2 20 Peterboro (h) 3 23 Brighton (h) 1 This should be a good test of the squad and if we pick up points from these games it could see us comforably in the top six by Christmas. A good chance to see if Nigel had got it right ! Edited 11 October, 2010 by david in sweden

SO16_Saint Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Oct currently 16 Hudd-fd (a) 6 - 1 point 23 Oldham (h) 7 - 3 points 30 Notts C (a) 17 - 3 points Nov. 2 Dag & Red.(h) 21 - 3 points 13 Carlisle (a) 2 - 3 points 20 Peterboro (h) 3 - 1 point 23 Brighton (h) 1 - 3 points
david in sweden Posted 11 October, 2010 Author Posted 11 October, 2010 Sorry but if we pick up points from the next seven games we will be in the top 6 whoever we play, surely? I did say " comfortably " rather than commit myself to saying .." in the top two", which I think is more likely.
The Cat Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Would like to see us get minimum 16 points from those games which would probably put us second.
MarkSFC Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 35 games left...5 groups of 7. 15 points from each run of 7 will give us 90. Should be enough for top 2!!

A good chance to see if Nigel had got it right ! Top 6 by Christmas? Have you seen the table? Huddersfield are in the top six at the moment and we would go above them with a win on Saturday. We're 4 points of second and 7 points off top. There's no reason why we can't be topping the table by the end of November.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 I think Huddersfield, Peterborough and Brighton will all be very tough games and will be delighted if we win them all. However I won't be too dissappointed with one win and two draws from those three.
Brussels Saint Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Oct currently 16 Hudd-fd (a) 6 - 1 point 23 Oldham (h) 7 - 3 points 30 Notts C (a) 17 - 3 points Nov. 2 Dag & Red.(h) 21 - 3 points 13 Carlisle (a) 2 - 3 points 20 Peterboro (h) 3 - 1 point 23 Brighton (h) 1 - 3 points Would pretty much agree with that except think we will get 3 against Peterboro and 1 at Carlisle
sperm_john Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 I'd like to see us get 21 points from those games ... thats should be enough for top 6
La BoIS Saint Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Normally as soon as this sort of thread is posted we end up getting about 4 points in total. not wishing to be negative or anything.
Dalek2003 Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Being realistic, I still mainatain that it will be late january before we are in the top 2, if we have a good run.
Jonnyboy Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Oct currently 16 Hudd-fd (a) 6 - 1 point 23 Oldham (h) 7 - 3 points 30 Notts C (a) 17 - 3 points Nov. 2 Dag & Red.(h) 21 - 3 points 13 Carlisle (a) 2 - 3 points 20 Peterboro (h) 3 - 1 point 23 Brighton (h) 1 - 3 points bite ya hand off
Dr Who? Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 We are having such a good run at the moment and we WILL slip up in at least a couple of those games. It is just the way the league is. We will still win the eague though I still have no doubt!!
sperm_john Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 If im serious I see us getting 10/11 points out of that lot IMO
Dr Who? Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 If im serious I see us getting 10/11 points out of that lot IMO Well I was hoping for a better return than that to be honest. That is near relegation form!
Faz Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 If we average 2 points per game I'd be delighted.
SNSUN Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 if im serious i see us getting 10/11 points out of that lot imo 14 imo
NickG Posted 12 October, 2010 Posted 12 October, 2010 October and November have us playing 6 out of the top 7 teams. We so far, two games in have a 100% record for October. If we maintain that until the end of November I will guarantee promotion and we can relax.
Turkish Posted 12 October, 2010 Posted 12 October, 2010 Oct currently 16 Hudd-fd (a) 6 - 1 point 23 Oldham (h) 7 - 3 points 30 Notts C (a) 17 - 3 points Nov. 2 Dag & Red.(h) 21 - 3 points 13 Carlisle (a) 2 - 3 points 20 Peterboro (h) 3 - 1 point 23 Brighton (h) 1 - 3 points Why would be beat Brighton at home and only draw with Peterboro?
Minsk Posted 12 October, 2010 Posted 12 October, 2010 I think Huddersfield' date=' Peterborough and Brighton will all be very tough games and will be delighted if we win them all. However I won't be too dissappointed with one win and two draws from those three.[/quote'] We NEED to win all 3! I have a good friend who is a Huddersfield fan (I want to have the gloating rights) and I will be over for the Peterborough and Brighton matches!!
Cabrone Posted 12 October, 2010 Posted 12 October, 2010 Oct\Nov is often when we have a good run and this year looks to be shaping up that way. I think we'll get at least 15 points out of that lot and may go on to even get a bit more. Huddersfield (a) will be a good litmus test of where we are though I'm sneakily confident of a win.
SO16_Saint Posted 12 October, 2010 Posted 12 October, 2010 Why would be beat Brighton at home and only draw with Peterboro? Because Peterborough are a better team IMO
Turkish Posted 12 October, 2010 Posted 12 October, 2010 Because Peterborough are a better team IMO Brighton are top and have a much better away record than Peterboro, who are consistantly incosistant.
