Liquidshokk Posted 13 October, 2010 Share Posted 13 October, 2010 OOH, the mind boggles. One could get desperate after a couple of weeks of going without. I heard Gary Glitter is in Chile now. Only place where you can slide a miner up and down your shaft and get applauded.
Viking Warrior Posted 13 October, 2010 Share Posted 13 October, 2010 Thankk god the miners family are ****ed off with the non chilean media constantly spouting of all the medical negativity some have said they should shut the F up. No wonder we are a maby pamby country we induce people to be stress out and develop quasi mental health problems. the chileans have far more resolve than our sick lame and lasy thanks to social workers etc

trousers Posted 13 October, 2010 Share Posted 13 October, 2010 The miners are actually only 20 feet below the ground and for the last 69 days have been on a film set to give the impression of being trapped underground. It was all set up by the Chilean government to boost their popularity.

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 14 October, 2010 Share Posted 14 October, 2010 All miners safely retrieved. Job done. Well done to all the Chilean people who never gave up on their compatriots in their hours and months of need. Uplifting news. Now to heal, carefully, those surely tortured minds. hutch Posted 14 October, 2010 Share Posted 14 October, 2010 I knew everything was going to be OK when I saw that bloke turn up carrying some chicken, a pair of slippers and a fishing rod on Sky News. He looked familiar!
trousers Posted 14 October, 2010 Share Posted 14 October, 2010 Didn't take long for these theories to emerge. I was expecting it right from the off. The clues and questions are there.... - billionaire president in need of popularity boost. (and, coincidently a week before a planned 'promo' trip to Europe) - miners looking remarkably well upon emerging - how did the capsule negotiate the existing tunnels and caverns it supposedly drilled through? The shaft was drilled at an angle, thus gravity would have swung the base away from the next opening - ironically, in an attempt to avoid conspiracy theories, dozens of cameras were used to capture 'every' moment. The theory being: "the more we show the more people will believe it". And, perhaps they simply forgot to put a camera in one of the aforementioned existing accessible tunnels half way down so we could see the gravity defying capsule passing through? - the release date was purposely timed so that it coincided with Lady Thatcher's 85th Birthday as a token of revenge for her treatment of Arthur Scargill and his fellow miners Not that I believe in any of this twaddle of course. He looked familiar! LOL, Whats makes me laugh is when they rescued the last miner, they all went off cheering and singing to to some wild party somewhere, but the poor medic sod who they sent down two days ago is still down there, they forgot about him.
