I hope all goes well when they start to bring them up, the big snag appears to be that they all

want to be the last one up.

Quote ""I would like to illustrate what they are going through today with a conversation we

had yesterday," Health Minister Jaime Manalich told a press conference near the San Jose

mine.

"I questioned them and mentioned we were working on an order in which they would be

brought out. I said the order would be determined by technical factors.

"And what was their reaction? 'Mr Minister, that's fine but I want to go last please.' And

then another guy said, 'No, my friend, I said that I was going to be the last one up.' 'No,

no, really - I want to go last, please,' another guy started saying."

I think that I would probably have had a heart attack and died if I had been trapped, and if not

to come up in that cage via such a small shaft would also freak me out.

I can't even imagine being stuck in a place like that for 2 whole months. I assume no food, very little water...must have been hell.

If that were the case they'd have died after about a week...

Theres a small shaft which they've been using to send food, drink, anti depressants, letters etc to the miners, obviously too small for people or they'd use that one!

They're obviously starting to think of their book deals already....

Reminds me of when John McCarthy was released after spending 4 years imprisoned with three other men including Terry Waite (the archbishop of ****erbury's envoy) in the middle east.

According to his then fiance Jill Morrell tells in her book how on their first night together following his arrival in the UK they stayed in a hotel near to Heathrow airport and she could sense that he felt awkward alone in her company. When she turned out the lights he insisted they be turned back on as it reminded him of the cells. She turned them back on and after much embarrased fumbling they began to make love.

He stopped after a few minutes and said he could not continue as he did not feel the same emotions as he had done 4 years previously. She said to him to just see it as sex as she needed him even if he didn't at the time feel that he needed her. Okay he said, but only if you do one small thing for me in return........ pop this Terry Waite mask on love.

The title of this thread makes me think of a Mexican fusion dish.

I imagine the last one up will be the medic sent down to help them up.

Would be funny if they got all the miners out and then the medic got stuck down there on his own :-D

Really knackered, and very weirdly really nervous.... Gotta stay up and watch it.

Considering they have actually just waffled for the last hour, it is really tense.

(Or is this all just me)

Woke up a few minutes ago and couldn't get to sleep, thought i'd come back down and stick this on.

One of the miners in the capsule now, about to go up. Quite incredible viewing really.

wonder if any of the journalists who are going to interview the Chilean miners will ask about the masturbating etiquette, and if they say nobody did it then send them back down the whole until they learn to tell the truth.

Dont our reporters go over the top with their comments. every possible illness , affliction medical problem etc etc

they may suffer is being discussed or put forward by the british media,

If I was one of the miners.i certainly would want to come to the surface if I was facving every possible medication and mental health problem the jouros are suggesting. Jeez

Also watrched a bit lastnight and the sky bimbo reporter needs to go back to school.

Some of her comments were unreal. She even said some of the trapped miners are well known to their relatives.

FFS, Relatives are family members so they will know the miners.

Fair play to the Chiliean authorities for allowing full media coverage.

You just know that had this been happening in good old Blighty, the health and safety machine would have kicked in and kept the media and general public at a distance to protect the "Yuman Rites" of the people involved.

I think he is already in a metal tube at the moment

Best place for him. I'm hopig he gets put on one of the new subs that doesn't surface for 9 months.

It's probably a medical procedure to make sure that they can fit in the rescue capsule.

I bet a lot of people would want to have sex with a miner.

Tis a good job I wasn't trapped down there with them, they'd have died of carbon monoxide poisoning weeks ago.
