Lighthouse Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 Couple of months in, what do we think of them so far? Stand out candidates for me would be: Barnard. Going purely from his on the pitch antics, he's been fantastic. Seaborne. Looks a different player to last season. Far less hoof. Lallana. When he has been fit, he has been the difference.
Redbul Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 That's 3!! If I've got to choose one and one only, at the moment it's Lallana. Subject to change at short notice though....Chamberlain could make a late charge....
LeBenali Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 Based on playing both regularly and consistently over the last 2 months, I think you'll do well to find anyone better than Fonte.
RedArmy Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 Barnard, easily. Should have 8 goals by now, he's been so unlucky.
Micky Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 All rather early at the moment, how many games has Adam played this season, and from what I've read on here Guly went from shyte to shyte hot in 2 games. Who knows, our player of the season may not be at the club yet.
NickG Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 over all games I have seen so far - Barnard easily.
Colinjb Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 All things considered, Fonté for me. That will almost certainly change if we continue as we are.
Appy Posted 10 October, 2010 Posted 10 October, 2010 Lallana, the month he was out we didn't score, enough said.
niceandfriendly Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Lallana is without a doubt the most important player in this team. Lambert is great but doesn't have as big an impact as AL. Same as Fonte, same as Barnard, Harding etc. Bit early for player of the season though.
Eastcowzer Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Puncheon. Coughs ,clears throat, and grins sheepishly. You're 'aving a laugh. Go on admit it.
whizzpop Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Oxlade-Chamberlain for the matches so far, was our only bright light until recently
NickG Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Fonte 's -performance on Saturday was exceptional, Lallana is vital to us - but due to injury (in Lallana's case,) and some whose form did drop when we were losing (Fonte) I think Barnard has been ploayer of the season. I don't think for a moment he will be over the rest of the season
Marsdinho Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Cant believe no one has mentioned Butterfield. Consistantly solid at RB, played every game.
SuperMikey Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Not sure tbh, every player in the team has had good games and bad games. It's probably got to be Lallana for me though.
Mr Saints Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Barnard - Even in a brief cameo on Saturday, Tranmere couldn't get near him. Fantastic movement and has an excellent first touch.
Gemmel Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Cant believe no one has mentioned Butterfield. Consistantly solid at RB, played every game. Gets my vote. Even if it just for consistency.
lambertsrightleg Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Barnard has been brilliant but Lallana makes the difference
david in sweden Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 All rather early at the moment, how many games has Adam played this season, and from what I've read on here Guly went from shyte to shyte hot in 2 games. Who knows, our player of the season may not be at the club yet. For a player coming to play in another club, in another league ..in another country ..where he doesn't speak the language.. I'd say that was a pretty speedy transition...wouldn't you ?
Crispypie Posted 11 October, 2010 Posted 11 October, 2010 Hmmm, whos is that walking by my window? Ahhhhhh, that'll be the jury!
