Not sure about genius, but it's much nearer that end of the scale. Don't think it can really be cringeworthy when it's just a p**s take. I personally find 'real' R&B far more cringeworthy, it's like they're trying to be a cliche.

I always thought R&B stood for Rythm & Blues.

 

The modern R n' B has neither.

I think the modern sh-t is called "contemporary" R&B. That's the stuff I can't stand. People with too much jewellery who can't speak English properly.
