Started the game vs Czech Rep last night with this formation.

 

4-6-0

 

Madness.

Actually sat & watched the entire game last night. An awful performance from Scotland - thank goodness they fell asleep at a corner & allowed 2 free headers which got the Czech's their goal because I would have hated to see them get the point they wanted out of that game. The stupid thing was, the Czech's weren't that good at the back so had Scotland been more attacking, they may have even won the game. Craig Levein is under real pressure now and you can understand why. The only chance of his system working was if Scotland were able to pass the ball out from the back, the problem is that they're not good enough to do that so resort to hoofing it up the pitch and 30 yards over the head of their most attacking player.

 

Levein has promised a different formation against Spain on Tuesday at Hampden - as one wag put it, you mean he's gonna play 10-0-0.

 

On the plus side for the Scots - the lad Mackie from QPR who made his debut last night looked good in the first half when he got the ball, went a bit missing 2nd half but thats because they never got the ball to him.

I would love to see the jocks try and play that side against Spain tomorrow.

 

If they go with anything resembling a 4-4-2 I'm going to watch their game rarther than the england game.

She was actually quite right though - I'm watching the game now and they are playing a 10 formation. Unfortunately they have 10 men at the back in front of the goal trying to stop Spain from scoring...!!

 

....stoppress... and as I type Spain score to make it 2 - 0. Best think of another formation now.

 

....stoppress2... Ohhhh jesus christ, who's got the bloody humble pie, what a mong I am, sometime I open my gob at all the wrong times... In the space of what, 8 minutes or so, they jocks have only gone and levelled the game. God I feel a right tit.
