trousers Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 We're bringing back Pulis early from his loan at Stockport?
JustMike Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 if he signs by 12 then can play tomorrow, i think! That said its prob not a player and just something to do with ticket sales
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 Think Rooney needs to drop down to find his form

NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 Reading link or just local for players when moving on loan?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Nicholas Bignall Who? Said the same about Antonio!
Toadhall Saint Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 With us til Nov 3rd - straight into the side tomorrow.
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10306~43977,00.html
trousers Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 I wonder whether this was in the pipeline regardless of the situation with Lee Barnard at the weekend or whether that event triggered this move?
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 I wonder whether this was in the pipeline regardless of the situation with Lee Barnard at the weekend or whether that event triggered this move? was wondering the same, wouldn't be surprised either way - Adknis has been talking as if someone may come in - Barnard may have focussed his mind a bit
supersonic Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 2 goals in 2 starts for Reading (both League Cup), and being a youngster, his goal-scoring stats are pretty impressive. 5"10 indicates he's been bought in more for Barnard than Lambert
SuperSAINT Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Does it say anywhere how long the loan is for?
trousers Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Adknis has been talking as if someone may come in Is that our new Greek manager?
saintsforlife7 Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Just been tweeted by a Reading supporting mate - Speedy and can finish. Another Antonio! Looks good if he's anything like that
supersonic Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Does it say anywhere how long the loan is for? until 4th november. HTH
supersonic Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 here's a youtube of him scoring a 25-yard screamer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0a_XUqKWHqE
Fergie Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Until 4th novermber accoridng to the official site. Says he's quick and powerful, defo a jaidi look-a-like. Was hoping it was gonna be the liverpool striker Eccleston or Agoo but we'll take this. Didnt fancy antonio when we signed him but look what he turned into.
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 Is that our new Greek manager? one of those words that I always sometimes seem to type wrongly - Aknis seems easier!
thorpie the sinner Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 here's a youtube of him scoring a 25-yard screamer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0a_XUqKWHqE ha ha , very good, that was a screamer!!!
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 do all players have a good clip somewhere on youtube?
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 having just opened the link - maybe not all players!
Lighthouse Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Not sure about the name. He should either be a violin teacher or a WW2 fighter pilot.
NickG Posted 8 October, 2010 Author Posted 8 October, 2010 Never heard of him, but probably comes with better young pedigree than Antonio so fingers crossed.
Saint J 77 Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Just been tweeted by a Reading supporting mate - Speedy and can finish. Another Antonio! Looks good if he's anything like that Sounds like he will be a good additon to our current squad. Pacey players are just what we are lacking at the moment. The trouble is IF he does perform any where as good as Antonio did, Reading will take him back and reap the benefits again.
Chez Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Sounds like he will be a good additon to our current squad. Pacey players are just what we are lacking at the moment. The trouble is IF he does perform any where as good as Antonio did, Reading will take him back and reap the benefits again. As with all loans both parties `benefit'. Us in the short term Reading in the long. Personally I think if he helps us get promoted then I don't care who else benefits. The long and short of it is we are short up front so we need to bring a player in.
sandwichsaint Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Looks like a young Jaidi That shirt's still not doing it for me (I was quite keen originally but all badged-up and with the 'sash' just stopping square at the shoulder it looks like a right dog's dinner ... incoming!)
Andy Durman Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Loan should be paid for out of Barnards wages as penalty for his unprofessionalism!
Scudamore Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 As with all loans both parties `benefit'. Us in the short term Reading in the long. Personally I think if he helps us get promoted then I don't care who else benefits. The long and short of it is we are short up front so we need to bring a player in. But...we're Southampton FC by far the greatest team the world has ever seen...surely we're the only ones that should benefit???

It would just would be nice to hold on to some of the better loans we bring in from time to time. I hope he does the business for us.
norwaysaint Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Great, he can replace Barnard who's been getting into fights in nightclubs, we don't want players like that.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Great, he can replace Barnard who's been getting into fights in nightclubs, we don't want players like that. I did reveal the intention to sign a striker yesterday actually. However, the above is a bit of a nasty surprise, even if it does look like he was just an accessory.
hypochondriac Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Adkins has a good track record of finding decent strikers. I am hopeful even if the signing is a little underwhelming.
martel Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 The first time that any player for any club that I can remember has shared the same family name as me, slight spelling difference, and I am white not black, well I say that, from the waist down I am. (just kidding)
Liquidshokk Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Great, he can replace Barnard who's been getting into fights in nightclubs, we don't want players like that. Oh god.... And he's been bailed so could end up going down too! If he's still on our books then we could have two of our strikers behind bars :-S
bender Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Oh god.... And he's been bailed so could end up going down too! If he's still on our books then we could have two of our strikers behind bars :-S Says on Echo "He is due for trial before Reading Crown Court on December 13, after his initial loan period at Saints has ended"
derry Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 My son is a mate of a senior Reading first team player, so I got him to ask about Bignall. The answer, 'he's good, really quick and strong, a bit raw at times but has got a great strike on his left foot, he can play wide but is better up the middle'. It sounds like a good signing but only short term.
