Saint_clark Posted 7 October, 2010 Share Posted 7 October, 2010 I doubt Richardson will get in the side anyway, Butterfield has been brilliant IMO.
Matthew Le God Posted 7 October, 2010 Share Posted 7 October, 2010 (edited) I doubt Richardson will get in the side anyway, Butterfield has been brilliant IMO. I think he will make his way into the starting eleven relatively soon after some "reserve" games. League One teams don't spend £450k on a player to not start. Of course that is hard on Butterfield who has been good, but matters not if Richardson is better as the team takes priority over sentiment. Afterall Butterfield was a Championship regular last season. Richardson was league one. Both good players and give options but shirt is Butterfield's to lose at the moment. He lacks pace but is steady and decent on the ball.
Andy_Porter Posted 7 October, 2010 Share Posted 7 October, 2010 Butterfield hasn't really done anything to impress me, a soild 6-7/10 player but nothing special, I'm hoping Richardson's return to fitness will give us a bit of attacking impetus from the right hand side. Butterfield is just the defenition of a steady eddie. Exactly the sort of player Lloyd James will grow into with age and experience, nothing particuarly special.
