1976_Child Posted 5 October, 2010 Posted 5 October, 2010 With out looking it up, or spoiling it for others: Q: Which English Football Club plays at the Boleyn Ground? Just say, 'yes, I honestly know' or 'no, not a clue' .... then go look it up.. enjoy
RedAndWhite91 Posted 5 October, 2010 Posted 5 October, 2010 Yes I honestly know. And it's an easy question.
1976_Child Posted 5 October, 2010 Author Posted 5 October, 2010 Yes I honestly know. And it's an easy question. only if you know the answer.. and I'd reckon most of the youngsters in the Northam wouldn't have a clue. In fact, most posters on this board will need to look it up.

1976_Child Posted 5 October, 2010 Author Posted 5 October, 2010 I'm a 'youngster in the Northam'...... then a very well read youngster, if I my say! Credit to you. Most wouldn't. I have to classify myself as a mid-aged Northam-er.. but my father's generation would have easily known the answer to this quiz question...
1976_Child Posted 5 October, 2010 Author Posted 5 October, 2010 I'm 23 and I know... fair play.. but I don't count 23 as a youngster... 14-18 yrs old ....

1976_Child Posted 5 October, 2010 Author Posted 5 October, 2010 Thankyou. I must add, however, my Dad does support the team that plays there, so that's probably why I know!! ..and yet you grew up to support the Saints! On-going proof that those born into sin can find their way to the Light !!

Hatch Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 fairly easy question I'd of thought. Been there dozens of times.
Wurzel Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 At least one commentator, I think it's John Motson, insists on calling it that every time he commentates from there.
norwaysaint Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 fairly easy question I'd of thought. Been there dozens of times. You'd have thought so.
Sevvy Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 fair play.. but I don't count 23 as a youngster... 14-18 yrs old .... That makes me ancient at 51 then
badgerx16 Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Here's another one, which club plays at Highbury ?
Hatch Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Here's another one, which club plays at Highbury ? I don't know. Guess it's some non league club.
chrisobee Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Here's another one, which club plays at Highbury ? Probably no one unless they somehow managed to include a football pitch within the site alongside the luxury apartments and penthouses. As fair as I'm aware all they managed was a fitness centre and swimming pool.
Lets B Avenue Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Here's another one, which club plays at Highbury ? Fleetwood Town.
Whitey Grandad Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Yes, I honestly know. But only because it was once in a question on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'.
Viking Warrior Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Yes I know, I used to sell programmes there, A great we place and you could easily lose your head in the pub just round the corner from the ground
saintscottofthenortham Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Here's another one, which club plays at Highbury ? Sadly... I know that aswell. It's a right sheeite hole.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 I haven't been there, and I'm only 20, but yes I know.
SNSUN Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 I thought it was pretty common knowledge, either that or I'm just clever.
Red Alert Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 I thought 90% of football fans would have known that. Yes I genuinely did know it. ...but I did have to use spell checker on the word genuinely.

Big John Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 I'd like to know WHY it was known as that actually? without google if poss
RedAndWhite91 Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Used to be a building that was once supposedly owned by Anne Boleyn I think.
Andy_Porter Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 I would be shocked if any og my friends who I consider proper football fans didn't know that. It's the sort of question/fact you learn when you're about 12 and they put a crap trick question or crazy fact in shoot or match magazine...
Big John Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 has it not got three names; boleyn, the academy and upton park?
Goalie66 Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 Henry VIII's scond wife owned the ground but whilst playing around she went up for a corner and her head up ton left her !!
