Chin Strain Posted 6 October, 2010 Posted 6 October, 2010 (edited) David Speedie.....surely for the golf club incident Oo Terry Hurlock - drunk driving I think Lee Todd - should have been arrested...his defending was criminal. Not sure if doing a poor impersonation of a footballer is an arrestable offence. Edited 6 October, 2010 by Chin Strain
Blandford saint Posted 7 October, 2010 Posted 7 October, 2010 I'm sure I remember being told that hUrlock was inside for something a lot more serious involving violence a while before we took him on. Didn't Pericard pretend that his father-in-law was driving his car, as he would have been banned yet again?
SaintAmongSkates Posted 7 October, 2010 Posted 7 October, 2010 I think it was back in the 80's on a pre-season tour to Sweden that Steve Williams and Steve Moran were involved in some allegations re: Unsavoury sexual behaviour. Can't remember if arrests were made as it's going back some now.
Leicestersaint Posted 7 October, 2010 Posted 7 October, 2010 I thought Shilts was locked up for threatening the wife one Friday and had to be released to be able to play the next day? The story is this - and apparently happened in 1980: Shilton was arrested for drink-driving after being found at 5am in a country lane with a woman called Tina in his car. When Tina's husband Colin arrived he said the pair were partially clothed. Shilton hurriedly drove away and crashed into a lamppost. He admitted 'taking a lady for a meal' and was fined £350 and banned from driving for 15 months. He then had to endure countless terrace chants of 'Shilton, Shilton, where's your wife?' This is from the Observer 4-11-2001: http://observer.guardian.co.uk/osm/story/0,,583485,00.html

Mark Wright and Steve Moran actually, think they were cleared because the girl(or girls) involved sort of admitted making it all up or at least exaggerating a bit.
The Majestic Channon Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Mark Wright and Steve Moran actually, think they were cleared because the girl(or girls) involved sort of admitted making it all up or at least exaggerating a bit. I worked a couple of years ago with one of the Norrköping players who played in both legs v saints, he told me it was a stitch up and that the same woman was led away for loitering in their hotel later that season too. Has wayne thomas been mentioned?

Bad Wolf Posted 8 October, 2010 Posted 8 October, 2010 Was Wayne Bridge not arrested (falsely as it turned out) once?
