buctootim Posted 3 October, 2010 Posted 3 October, 2010 Modding on any board is a selfless act, requiring the mod to voluntarily give up huge amounts of free time in exchange for vilification and abuse and just the occasional token of appreciation. I'd just like to express my thanks to all those who have modded on this site and/or its predecessor. Well done guys, many thanks.
Arizona Posted 3 October, 2010 Posted 3 October, 2010 Awwwwww. You're nice. In all seriousness though, thanks. It's much appreciated.
buctootim Posted 3 October, 2010 Author Posted 3 October, 2010 Awwwwww. You're nice. In all seriousness though, thanks. It's much appreciated. Bit of Churchill for you (ya I know bit Dune ish but there you go "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. "
Deppo Posted 3 October, 2010 Posted 3 October, 2010 Agreed. Ponty, St Landrew were simply brilliant moderators. Even handed (I was on the end of plenty of infractions from both of them) and fair. They never let their own biases get in the way of good moderation, unlike some others. Also, Ponty and St Landrew were clearly both very intelligent, which shone through in their moderating. They understood satire and condemned racism, homophobia and the like. Whether these values were what ultimately caused the rift between them and the site owners, we'll never know. On another note, any news on DSM? He was always a decent moderator too. Hopefully he will remain in position, seeing as we haven't heard from him yet?
Jonnyboy Posted 3 October, 2010 Posted 3 October, 2010 cheers mods, was i never even close to an infraction?

Cricketphilly Posted 4 October, 2010 Posted 4 October, 2010 An exellent job by all concerned. As with all things voluntary it's usually a thankless task, but hey why not? Thank you for your efforts chaps.
