miserableoldgit Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 Barnard picked up a bottle and smashed it on somebodys head. So similar behaviour yes. So he definitely did this? You know this for a fact?

Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 Was he provoked? Of course, not sure that excuses it though. Shouldnt have been there in the first place, should know better.

Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 Sort of depends what happened. Could have been self defence? I would agree, but the use of a bottle kinda removes any self defence claim, he's messed up big time. I'm intrigued as to how NA will handle this. aintforever Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 If he bottled someone he will probably go to jail, you get 18 months for shaking a fence nowadays.

hypochondriac Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 verbally i believe Bit of a tw*t if true then. Really stupid to smack someone with a bottle over some verbals.
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 If he bottled someone he will probably go to jail, you get 18 months for shaking a fence nowadays. No he wont. They favour non-custodial punishments for these offences unless he's a repeat offender or lacking any remorse. As mentioned previously a close friend was bottled recently and I remember the court proceedings and solicitor discussions very well.

Saint J 77 Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 FFS can't we ever just have something good happen without something bad following it? what a silly boy if this is true
yorkie Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 I know this may sound wrong but you lot are really doing anyones defence any good by stating the alledged person smashed a bottle over someones head - I wonder if the prosecution will be calling for names and addresses of people who state they "know" or "saw" the incident after reading this site? Can this thread be closed - it really is sad enough it has one on this long. Assault with a bottle is a terrible crime - and if any Saints player is found guilty of doing so - end his contract immediately!
