Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but did anyone see the trouble in the Northam concourse after the game?

My missis went down five minutes early and said a load of Bournemouth fans came through the red door by the partition.Apparantly a female steward was hurt.Hope shes ok.

The Bournemouth fans were the worse fans that have been to SMS for a long time.

After seeing how they were today,i hope Bournemouth get relegated at the end of this season.

It wasnt much. As I came out the Northam a load of Saints went to run at the Boscombe druggies but then couldnt be bothered as it was only 3 of them and they ran back to the coaches. Most fans just laughed at then on way station. god they dont half smell, it was just like seing the Skates again. Half of them couldnt read the road signs to find way to station. The police need to hand some soap out the the tramps so the station will be clean for monday.

cant condone that trouble but perhaps you would like to explain your meatheads having a go at our chairman in his box...yes our chairman with very young kids present.

To the mong who kicked off and the meatheads who joined in...well done lads, you may have chosen to ignore the children present but it really does may you look like a bunch of muppets

and you dont care about us??

Huh? I didn't bring my two young kids to today's game because of my low expectations of the bompey supporters. You're telling me the Bompey chairman bought young kids with him to a game where he knew he'd get abuse for his lies and non-payment of bills? Maybe he's madder than I first thought.

That was clearly out of order, unfortunately all clubs have their fair share of idiots.

Maybe it wouldn't have happened if Mitchell didn't mouth off to the press, but still out of order.

What gets to me the most about them is, years ago in their darkest hour who was the first club to go down there and play them to help raise funds us, we buy Neil Moss pay the fee up front and loan him back to them. If they ever need help again and they will because they will run out of money again soon we should tell the ungreatful barstewards to p155 off if they ask for our help.

I'm not saying it's acceptable for it to happen especially with children present, but was it necessary for him to do a 'going down' gesture? The man represents your club and should rise above it all and act professional no matter what is going on. In my opinion he showed a real lack of class.

no we don't. We do care when another clubs chairman talks bs and attempts to undermine our club.

To us this was just a.n.other game on the way to the Championship. To you it was your cup final style day out at the best stadium in the league.

Anyone who fights at football (or anywhere else for that matter ) is unwelcome and whatever side they are on should be banned for life.

If it's true that one of our stewards has been hurt by a Bournemouth fan then I hope the club is able to convict them appropriately.

Roll on next season for "our" derby.

Exactly. Suspect their "yoof" are too young to remember.

Ossie i stand next to the away fans in the Northam and throughout the whole game, about 40% of the Bournemouth fans near to me spent their time throwing coins, shouting threats and giving slit throat signs towards anyone who looked their way. What is it with Bournemouth fans? You try your hardest to get us to be your rivals, when the truth is we just dont care about you.In fact we used to loan you players to keep you up and even send our groundsmen down to Dean Court to mow your grass. Then when we give you a lesson on how to play proper football, you lot attack a female steward and cause loads of trouble. Now i know a lot of our fans can be just as bad,but i would rate the Bournemouth fans today as the worst, most agressive, deluded, arrogant set of fans ive seen for a long time.

So please dont come on here giving it "Holier than thou".

It was funny as f*ck. Went down into the concourse to see Bournemouth fans throwing a paddy through the netting over the top of the gates and trying their hardest to kick it in.

They really are like our stroppy little brother.

Mitchell being a mouthy gobsheite is a separate issue. I would like to say it serves him right, but not with kids about. I wonder if next time he thinks about keeping private conversations just that! It would not surprise me if his missus kicks the sheite out of him when he gets home.

To be fair, they have been waiting about 60 years for a big day out at our place and they've had 2 in the space of a couple of months.

Probably a bit over-excited.

If you read my post again you will see I said I dont condone what happened....do you actually think it was just Bournemouth who kicked off, my guess is that there was some infiltration from your best mates down the road...but I dont know, I guess the police will come up with some surprising results i.e the addresses of those who were arrested and the images from the multitude of cameras they were carrying.

Yet some of you defend some meatheads who have a go at 3 blokes, two women..(one elderly) and 3 young children who were clearly petrified....brave of you

If the silly tw*t hadn't been such an unprofessional gobsh*te over the Eddie Who (sorry, Howe) debacle and who paid his bar bills on time he'd have been lording it up with the Southampton board instead of slumming it in an exec. box behind our home fans. If he then chooses to make 'going down' gestures and flicking the Vs (so a steward told me) then he deserves to get verbal back. He should have known he'd have got this reaction so he's just as irresponsible for goading us in front of young children.

And no, we don't care about you lot; anyone from away support who chooses to try and mix it in a home end would get the same treatment....what's the matter? Never been to a football match before?

Bournemouth fans are completely bizarre on today's evidence. Just what is their problem? They're a strange little club, but I've absolutely no hatred for them as there is no need - which is the view shared by all Saints fans really.

I hope they enjoyed their big day.

Yes she did. Tell her to be more patient and control her urges or next time I won't be so forgiving.

I felt sorry for them to start with. Purely down to their desperation of wanting to be our rivals. I was convinced by a few bawnmuff fans that these were just a minority and that they knew we wernt rivals blah blah blah. But to turn up at SMS today, being branded "Scum" and getting abuse before I have even set foot in the ground, then to get in the ground and to hear "If you hate Southampton clap your hands" and to see coins being thrown at near on every other (to be brutally honest, probably more than every other) Bawnmuff fan giving it the football factory arms out and pointing outside, throat slit gestures, and about every threat you could possibly gesture, all of this to a bunch of saints fans who literally done nothing but laugh at them. They really were a laughing stock today, bit one that I have gone from liking and looking out for, to a club that I wish no success whatsoever. I hope they get relegated and continue to suffer financially. Get what they deserve. It was in no way a minority, FAR from it.

oh right...you were told by a steward were you....that makes it factual. You dont know what you are talking about as he was in the boardroom before the game..did the steward tell you that? No of course not because the 'stewards' you spoke with was probably some lacky on work experience who like most stewards no jack.

I just love it when the sheep all pile in with their stories when they have no knowledge, didnt see anything...just want to pile in with a point of view that is crap.

See you all in March....by the way, well played you were by far the better team, although the ref was a homer...glad for Adkins, hope he achieves something and you can all look back on this forum in 12 months times and realise what a bunch of ****s you were towards the bloke

ossie, you need to calm down and go back to your own forum. You come on here to wind us up (you said it yourself) and get all upset when people bite. Do yourself a favour.

Kicked off in Totton too.

Why the **** anyone would get upset by a non football city farmer town is beyond me.

**** em and move on.. They are a non entity in the football world. Onwards and Upwards!!

Why the heck would it kick off in Totton?

I'm not disputing you're right, I just have no idea why a number of Cherries fans would end up in Totton

What time was the abuse given to your chairman Ossie? well before the kick off or during the match?

as I didnt hear or see anything and I was not to far away from the directors box?

The only I did see and hear were you mongs arriving at the ground just before kick off acting as if you were all tough guys.

I hope you all enjoyed your visit to a proper ground and real fans?

It took you quite a while to realise the ref was pretty bad he should have sent one of your players off long before the one he did.

I hope you guys enjoyed your time at the top , but you are on your way down losers

I was in Kingsland/ Northam corner so could see a few of their fans making 'Slit throat signs, see you outside gestures, holding arms wide open etc' but the funny thing was that our fans just weren't rising to it. I along with a few others got called 'Scummers' walking in to the ground which we again just found laughable! I just don't get it, well I do. Even though we are where we are we are still seen as the 'BIG' scalp on the South Coast.

Bournemouth and trouble. This thread surely is a joke.

Well I didn't find it funny when one of their ringleaders challenged me and arranged a meet at bingo next week. I just can't afford to pay for her blue rinse

I was in Itchen north at half time Mitchell and company appeared at the box next to the police control room, one of them, not sure it was Mitchell, started to gesture at us, llike your going down, it nearly started a riot. They were thugs in the box, and the Police were keen to act on it

ossie1 - thanks for your contribution over the last couple of days. Your ramblings have made todays result even sweeter, so once again thank you. Enjoy the big game against Brighton.

They need to focus on their real derby rivals, Weymouth.

Odd that they are cultivating this mouthy 'hoolie' image - I used to live there, it's a lovely middle-class little town. Not as if they have any 'inner-city' issues or problem 'yoof'?

Yes, they were making those gestures and it aggravated the hell out of them when most of us laughed at them or blew them kisses back.

Yes, I was told about the V flicking by a steward, nothing else, and I had no reason to disbelieve him after seeing the other gesture; re read my post. And your first sentence smacks of so much hypocrisy it's laughable; 'probably some lacky on work experience'? Why, if that was the case, would that make his testimony any less believable than if it was somebody with years and years of experience? In this case the steward I spoke to was of the latter type.

So, I do have knowledge, did see something, so I would argue that my POV is far form crap but pretty credible. I take it you were in the away end and must have seen what was going on with the aid of binoculars?

Now shut up and go to bed.

It wasn't right that those kids had to go through that, and I in NO WAY condone what happened, but your chairman had to be expecting that kind of reaction after his conduct over the past few weeks?

And yes, we care about you. About as much as every other team in this division, we need to win the vast majority of our games if we want promotion, including against you. You managed to draw extra supporters against us by hyping up your chances, goading people with your talk of being favourites against us because you're above us in the league, and maybe if you'd gotten a result against us it might have been the beginning of something, but you didn't. Your players froze in the 'derby' atmosphere, your crowd was quiet, we beat you comfortably, and our crowd settled into singing songs about how much we hate Pompey, same as we sang the week before, same as we'll sing next week. We won't be singing any songs about Bournemouth any time soon.
