Viking Warrior Posted 1 October, 2010 Share Posted 1 October, 2010 Spent a few days in Brusssels last week between games. (Yhough I though antwerp was better) I stumbled upon deliriums in Brussels an awesome drinking place 2500 different types of beers. an alcoholics paradise if ever there was one. Anybody else been there. I drank about about ten varieties. One of my favorite was called Mc Orkney made with malt and whisky Anybody else visited this place if not if your over there take a visit

MongoNeil Posted 1 October, 2010 Share Posted 1 October, 2010 Whenever I'm in Brussels (which we seem to be most summers for the Pukkelpop festival) I must pop into Delirium. The recent trip, our other halves went shopping and left me and a mate in there for a few hours. When they came back we were hammered but could give them a detailed description of most of the beers on the featured beers menu. Personal favourites this year were Florisgaarden White and Rulles Blonde, both excellent beers. If only they were available over here :-(

suewhistle Posted 1 October, 2010 Share Posted 1 October, 2010 I've been to Antwerp on business and no chance to drink (seriously) but I did have a few glasses of the local Koenig beer. It was OK, but too gassy and cold. Blow me if a year later in the Wetherspoons in London Road on the way to SMS it was on sale: on draught as a real ale so not gassy and a decent temperature - twice as good, and I probably had twice as much as it slipped down marvellously. Can't remember the game mind... Anyone from Wetherspoons reading this, how about it again? More a winter brew as it was quite strong and malty, but good enough to make me write this.. Saint-scooby Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 I had a massive session in Antwerp a few years ago, my mate had the hangover from hell, I matched him beer for beer. I was in my drinking prime then.. I should make the effort and get back over there soon
