Window Cleaner Posted 29 September, 2010 Share Posted 29 September, 2010 We have played some good football since NA has arrived, and I for one am very exited about our future under him. I am just frustrated that the likes of Super Kelv, Jaidi, Seaborne, Hammond and the one saints player who I cannot understand for the bleeding life of me why people rate him... Harding, cannot help themselves but to just leather their foot through the ball without so much as looking up and just gifting the opposition possession. This, according to NA is what yet again, cost us last night. this is enshrined in their footballing education, it's why they will never move up through the leagues .They have been drilled to play this way for donkey's years, boot it up to the brick shît house CF or the devastatingly fast(but totally talentless)winger. They have not been educated to hold the ball and create time and space. They should all look at Morgan,Lallana and Guly in this respect, but then you have to have some sort of a brain as well. RedAndWhite91 Posted 29 September, 2010 Share Posted 29 September, 2010 Promotion is now out of the question. What a useless bunch of players, they continue to let their supporters down. Worse team that I have ever seen at Southampton. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

Red&White Posted 29 September, 2010 Share Posted 29 September, 2010 Totally agree not bloody good enough !If you can't beat Yeovil away then you have no right to win automatic promotion. I hate to say it but this current side is no way good enough for top two, we will be lucky to make the top six at this rate. Lallana is the only player that makes our team tick. Too many players putting in average performance's regularly, e.g. Hammond, Puncheon etc. Who knows what has happened to Rickie this season, perhaps when he gets one, many will come, we shall see but favourites for promotion.......... pppfff
dannysfc Posted 29 September, 2010 Share Posted 29 September, 2010 I was there last night with my Brother and I am still gutted that we didn't get the winner and it would have been a different outcome had Guly taken his chance but a points a point and we now have to get back to winning ways by beating Bournemouth and Tranmere both at home to get back into the mix but we will see! Best Chant Of The Point: "Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Der Pork/Oink" which made me laugh Tbh! COYS!! !

Liquidshokk Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 He did sound angry didn't he,a bit too angry to remain lucid perhaps, kept repeating himself, still it's better than someone saying "well good fortune deserted us again". lol, he ALWAYS repeats himself... normally around 4 or 5 times per conversation
exile on main street Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 "If you can't beat Yeovil away then you have no right to win automatic promotion." Really? I mean, really? What if a team got itself enough points to gain automatic promotion, but hadn't beaten Yeovil away? Should the Football League ban them from being promoted? Some people on here are talking out the side of their ****ing neck. No wonder other supporters think we're ****s. I'm off.
Mr saint Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 For anyone who hasn't seen, here are the BBC highlights. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9046174.stm My bias observations from the game (supported by the video): Their number 7 dived in the first half. The video is a bit deceptive. Being right in front of it it was obvious cheating. Rickies shot bounced over the line. Seabourne was unlucky with the penalty. It wasn't one. Saints played OKish. doddisalegend Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Just seen Adkins interview on Saints Player... Wow. He was one unhappy bloke! And quite right too. So many times last season, we saw ourselves throw away leads in games we SHOULD have won. Some, comfortably. This was purely down to AP having no other plan than that of hoofball and that alone cost us whether we were winning or losing because if we wernt throwing away leads, we were limping into a loss in a game where the opposition had sussed us out a week or so before hand, and stopped us playing long balls. This is still hampering us now, and it wont be until Adkins has undone all the work done by AP over the last year or so that this will change. We have played some good football since NA has arrived, and I for one am very exited about our future under him. I am just frustrated that the likes of Super Kelv, Jaidi, Seaborne, Hammond and the one saints player who I cannot understand for the bleeding life of me why people rate him... This, according to NA is what yet again, cost us last night. Really didn't see to much of that myself (millwall away for sure) I can remember quite a few games were we went down a goal and came back to win or snatched it the death (like yeovil last season). Viking Warrior Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Just back from Yeovil. Stayed down that way for a few days First time I have been to Yeovil. What a crap ground and the flood lights were appalling. Oh and those that moan about the food at SMS then try the mega options at Yeovil As for the game I thought we were pretty good but we are stll lacking invention inside the box. I don't know if it is the fact the opposition put so many players in their box or whether we are trying to be ultra precise increating opportunities for rickie and co, I thought we had won late on only for the ball to come of the post. As for players . I thought Harding had an excellent game as did hammond. the forwards did some hard graft with little reward. Adam looked lively when he came on. As for Guly I remain unconvinced sure he scored a goal which lifted us on a dark wet evening. But he didnt do much else. he likes to play ping png short ball passing I would like him to run at player but I saw little of that. Finally Puncheon. There were some fans around me only a couple who constantly berated him no matter what he did. He tirelessly ran back deep into our half to save the day and launch an attack yet they still gave him stick. he allowed the ball to go through his legs to rickie. Yep they moaned at him for not keeping possession. He is an intelligent player in away he reminds me of Nick Holmes and Brian O'neil unsung heroes who fans like to knock. I stayed in a B&B in North Cadbury and shared a lock in with some Yeovil fans in the bpub below. The were impressed with us and look forward to SMS especially as one one the lads Girl friend thinks the SMS Hot Dogs are the best in the worl. So maybe our catering is good afterall
