I watched Yeovil on Saturday and they lost 3-1. They played a 4-(1)-4-(1)-1 formation - the brackets indicate their playmaker Gavin Willams who has licence to roam and get the ball and run with it.

As was the case last year, most of their forward play came either down the left hand side or through Williams.

Other danger players are Smith (LB) and Welsh (ML). Their lone striker on Saturday Dean Bowditch looked lively, as did the second striker, targetman Sam Williams (who scored) when he came on as sub.

Tuesday may see the team switch to 4-4-2, but it would appear Yeovil's captain and right back may be injured at present.

He certainly didn't play on Saturday, which meant Adam Virgo played there and he looked very shaky - if Puncheon gets at him, he'll have a lot of joy.

Two words of caution - Andy Williams. Remember Bristol Rovers at home last season..........

Cautiously optimistic. We've been steadily improving in terms of both performance and results since Adkins took over.

Our last 5 games

0-3

0-2

0-1

0-0

1-0

Based on that logic, I'm going with a 3-1 retro style win.

You missed the loss at MK Dons from that list! I'm having trouble calling this one, obviously we'll be buoyed on from the win at Sheffield, but then it's Saints, and it'd be totally like us to send that good work down the drain! Last year was one of the best away games I've been to, hoping this one lives up to that. Head 2-2 draw, heart 3-1 win.

2-0 to Saints is the logical result in the sequence. But it will be a frustrating night as Yeovil park the tractor and their keeper pulls off a series of world class saves in his best performance of the season. Two late goals to win it for Saints.

What at home? In general we've done better away from SMS as teams try to play at home rather than playing for the draw so Saints to win 2-0. Lamberts got to get going at some point this season.

You thought we'd lose 2-0 to wednesday, and now think yeovil will put 4 past us?.... ok then?

3-1 win, reckon' we're on the move now!

Well it worked on Saturday right?! The old reverse hoodoo occasionally seems to work wonders, so here's hoping. (;

If anything, with our goals conceded record going down, and the goals scored starting up, it'll be 2-0. Leaving a lovely symmetrical 3-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Spoke to ticket office this morning, we have been sent an extra 300 tickets, and tickets will also be available for Saints end at Yeovil ticket office on the night

Great, thanks for the info. All I need now is a way of getting there and back!

We should win really. Confidence will be high after Saturday, and it looks like Adkins is raising morale and close to getting the best out of the players.

2-1 Yeovil it is then.

If Lallana starts we'll create a lot. Such an important player now. Rather see him start and play an hour that come on when we're struggling. Chamberlain might be better off the bench this time. Like to see them both start against our little Bournemouth friends though.

Nigel said in his post match interview on saturday that Adam is no where near fit enough to start yet several games of the pace at the moment. More likely Adam may get 20mins at the end to help build his fitness or as a last roll of the dice if things aren't going well. I imagine the team will remain unchanged from saturday.

I have a horrible feeling that in true saints fashion we will **** this up! But Yeovil are low on confidence and it really should be a comfortable 3-0 win.... surely...

I think we should play this vs Yeovil;

--------------------Davis---------------------

Butterfield-------Jaidi-----Seabourne---Harding

Guly-----Schneiderlin-----Hammond-----Holmes

-------------Lambert-----Barnard-------------

Subs: Bart, Martin, Dickson, Wotton, Chamberlain, Connolly, Puncheon

I'll be pedantic and say again what was ignored in my earlier post, that chain of results is missing the 2-0 defeat at MK Dons after the 1-0 defeat at Swindon.

- Guly is not a wide player really. Puncheon although frustrating at times is still very dangerous at this level.

- Who is Seabourne?

- Fonte will be back.
