Hatch Posted 22 September, 2010 Share Posted 22 September, 2010 off to a good start! No bugger wants to go, and I suspect a lot of athletes are waiting for the UK teams to pull out en masse, and so have the decision made for them. If Eng, Scot , Wales etc do opt to go, then I expect quite a few athletes to suddenly become injured.
fish fingers Posted 22 September, 2010 Share Posted 22 September, 2010 Would be very surprised if this does go ahead. Not without a roof and bridge anyway.
fish fingers Posted 23 September, 2010 Share Posted 23 September, 2010 The athlete village looks pretty decent http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/commonwealth_games/delhi_2010/9025666.stm
mdearlove Posted 23 September, 2010 Share Posted 23 September, 2010 I drove past the site every day for a fortnight 18 months ago and even then you could tell that it wouldn't be ready on time. Its no surprise so me that this situation has arisen. It was on the cards from the day they announced Delhi as the venue. The roads around there are an absolute nightmare on a normal day - took 4 hours to go 30km one day when it was usually a 45 min journey.
