dubai_phil Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8403365.Saints_aim_to_avoid_unwanted_record/ Eek, now who would have thought that THIS could be on the cards as our 125th Anniversay Celebration? Time for a lucky deflection off someone's bum methinks
Gemmel Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 Time for a lucky deflection off someone's bum methinks We've already had one of those against Leyton Orient
dubai_phil Posted 21 September, 2010 Author Posted 21 September, 2010 We've already had one of those against Leyton Orient Double Eek. In that case we have to go for the really silly own goal to break the run, or a KD diving header from a Lee Holmes corner in the last minute to equalise
dubai_phil Posted 21 September, 2010 Author Posted 21 September, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU15oPVh7Xw&feature=related One of those will do
Charlie Wayman Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 Make the goals bigger! There, it wasn't that difficult was it?
saintwiz Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 I'm glad you all can make light of it... Can you see where a goal is coming from?
OldNick Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 more interesting was reading about Fulthorpe
dubai_phil Posted 21 September, 2010 Author Posted 21 September, 2010 more interesting was reading about Fulthorpe Lol - you did that click link as well - no way was I gonna start a thread on THAT after FF's one!
OldNick Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 Lol - you did that click link as well - no way was I gonna start a thread on THAT after FF's one! yep, probably best you didn't. All his mates (Fulthorpes)on here would be out in force. It seems to me we had another lucky escape there as well
Kaiser Soze Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 Can't believe I nearly put money on us to score over 100 goals this season!
dubai_phil Posted 21 September, 2010 Author Posted 21 September, 2010 I'm glad you all can make light of it... Can you see where a goal is coming from? It's a funny old game. The point being, who in their right minds could have believed that after last season we could be in this position? In these circumstances, history indicates that the goal that breaks a drought will come from an unexpected source (aka Ruddock's recently talked about penalty) I think once we get one, another monkey will get off the backs and the players will relax more and off they will go, also we will have a week of double training sessions and so providing they aren't knackered, it is as likely to happen on Saturday as any other

I wonder what his odds are?
egreog Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 To be honest, I can't see Saints scoring at Hillsborough so it will have to be the following week hopefully.... but as each match goes by it seems less likely they will ever score again!!......Weird really
