If you took the games his Father picked the team out, he's played 20 games in 7 years.

The only Manager apart from Jan/Lowe to sign him is his Dad.

He has been on loan at 4 Clubs that were't Managed by his Dad, and none of them have extended the loan, or signed him.

I dont really think you need to watch him to realise the reason he's made a living as a Footballer.

.. who I think it was honestly reported was on the verge of becoming our manager........

I can confirm without a shadow of doubt, having seen the lad play football in last season's pre-season and Reading, that he is a liability rather than an asset. He would seriously do more for our team if we were to allow the opposition to field him as a 12th man.

We were watching him closely warming up at SMS on Saturday. He fell over trying to kick or control the ball on two occassions under no pressure except from himself.

I rest my case.

I thought he looked good stretching on the touchline in front of me Saturday.

Some players dont perform in the stiffs -look at MLT- and need the first team atmosphere

to show what they can do.

Get him in the team, and pronto.

The assessments of Pulis as useless are interesting, including those stated as FACT, but there is another fact - that Pardew didn't release him at the end of the 2-year contract and Adkins has had him on the bench. I just raised this in case there is something that they know, that the fans who have assessed him as very poor, do not know, but I can't imagine what it can be.

Maybe Adkins knows his Dad well or it was a pick me up for him as his grandmother had passed away earlier in the week - who knows ?

The one thing that is for sure is that if he was any good at least one of the clubs he has been on loan at over the years would have wanted to extend the loan, have him back or buy him. None of which has happened.

Its a creditable effort Professor to try and make a case for him, but really he has been very fortunate to still be a pro footballer at that age having played so few games.

When you consider people like Chris Perry are without a club and yet he is picking up money each week for just training it beggars belief.

Why are you ignoring the fact that no other manager has played him and he has not been picked by how many managers in 8 years yet you think all of us that have seen him play are wrong?

You have not seen him yet criticise those of us that have...brilliant!

A mate of mine reckons he was on the bench to prove a point to the others. Maybe Pulis really pulled his tripe out (to use an expression from up here) during training and was rewarded with a place on the bench. Hopefully NA was never gonna use him him but was purely sending a message to the others like "Yes this lad lacks skill but he worked hard and here he is in the first team squad."

I have not seen the boy play. So i cant make a full assumption i can only draw one from the words that give it to ron has spoken, which is that no one else seems to have wanted to pick him (over all of his clubs and career)

One man i have seen play however is Wotton, who is easily THE worst footballer i have ever seen in the Red & White. Now if Pulis can actually move more than 1/2 a foot per minute for me that makes him more qualified to be on the bench.

To add...I am 100% certain that all of us that have seen him play take no pleasure in stating how poor he has been. We all would love it if he was the answer to our defensive/creative midfield option - he isn't and never will be sadly.

His contract was up on the 28th August I believe so am not sure where he stands if that covers him for the season?

Contracts for professional footballers in England end on 30th June each year, not a year/two years/three years to the day they were signed.

Or maybe there's a clause in his contract that means it's cheaper for the club to keep him on the fringes than let him go?

I've no idea either but just a thought.

Has been consistently slagged-off on this forum, but mainly by people who have never seen him play and who are just going with the mob. He was disliked because he was injured when he was signed and by a club management that was unpopular, but that was hardly his fault.

His 2-year contract ended in August, so it must be assumed that the third-year option has been taken up despite many predicting it would not be. Now Adkins has had him on the bench when Wotton and Gobern were not, so these things together make you wonder if he has moved up in the pecking order.

Has had a very disjointed career, but at 26, Pulis must be as good now as he is ever going to be, so if he is to get a chance in the first team it must be coming soon. Wouldn't be surprised to see him brought on in place of Hammond fairly soon. Need to see him in the first team environment to make a real judgement.

Those "few" who have seen him on a football pitch wearing a Saints shirt seemed to think that he was worse than ***** ,

goodness knows what AP and NA made of him ..? but I suppose we will find out sooner or later. Somebody's got it badly wrong .

My reaction to his continued presence at SFC ...ranks a scant second to the shock I felt after hearing of AP sacking !

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~29616,00.html then he must of signed the 3rd year then......why??

But, as I understand it, the point being made my some people is that when his "two years" were completed at the end of August he AUTOMATICALLY entered the third year of his contract as ALL footballer contracts renewal negotiations are by default deferred to the following June.

In other words, there were no 'taking up the third year option' discussions at the end of August by EITHER party as he is still 'in contract' until June....it's simply not done in round number of years (my understanding)

Not only that

He's preventing a Footballer from starting a career with us

Makes you laugh, he's worse than useless and yet we can't get rid of, yet we are crying out for replacements for Antonio and Papa, and not getting any

Something really is wrong somewhere ???

What the fck is Pulis doing?

He's 26 and never played because he's always been at levels far too high for him. Given that he's earnt a bit of money and has a rich father, you have to ask, does he like football?

It's a short career and I can't imagine not wanting to play. If I had the chance I'd be finding my 40 games a season wherever I could. What the hell is the point in 8 years of not playing? A complete embarassment.

Does he not believe he'd get on alright in the conference? Or lower? Could be an alright Eastleigh player perhaps. Better than doing nothing.

He's earning a fair old wedge for doing nothing

He's a waste of space and a drain on the rations, and the rations for our Football Team seem to be very meagre at the moment

He's a leech who has no intent whatsoever to actually PLAY Football, and he will be claiming his money until his Contract runs down to the last second

What a great example to young talent who can't even get near a Club
