Just listened to Deano's interview on Saints Player, thought a few might be interested in his words. To me it's the biggest hint yet that there were problems in the camp.

"The new Manager has come in and he's been great, he's put a smile back on everyone's faces. Anything that has happened in the past, deal with it, move on, we want a succesful season."

Obviously the "Anything in the past" could be Pardew's sacking itself, but from the way it was said, i think there was more to it than that. Like I said, thought a few might be interested.

I noticed that as well. Also some very encouraging words there about how Nigel Adkins has set about the job in hand. The more I hear, the more I think this was an incredibly smart appointment by Nicola Cortese.

Doesnt matter what we think because we will never be told why Pardew left.

Lets forget it and move on.

I moved on after having 2 days to reflect on the sacking. Realised that he in fact drove me nuts with 4-5-1, hoofball and 80th minute subs. So all in all, i'm bloody glad he has gone thanks.

Like I said, just might be of interest to some.

Because players often come and tell you the new manager is hopeless?

I noticed that as well and pointed it out on the "match reaction" thread. I thought those words said a lot.

Somebody should go back through the various articles on the OS over the last few weeks and compare them to these interviews. Let's see how many players were happy, motivated and utterly unaware of any problems or discontent who now claim the bad things in the past should be ignored and things are much better now.

Hes only put smiles back on because they where so peed that Pardew as sacked and most of them think Cortese is a right tosser.

Says who?

Move on yes, but we won't forget it. At the end of the season, if we fail to go up, we'll be remembering how shyte we were in September. Sadly.

Lets not forget the death of the club owner, which was a pretty big part.

I don't like Pardew and am within the big incident camp.

However in the interest of fairness i need to point out it may not be about Pardew at all.

Yet more talk off the pitch and not on it. Hammond was garbage today, and for him to prattle on about having a smile on his face really p1sses me off. I saw nothing at the ground today to put a smile on my face, in fact almost everything Dean Hammond did today made me feel disappointed to have a Saints captain so utterly inept and out of the game.

Please, please Nigel Adkins, remove this ineffectual waste of space and bring in someone who can dominate a midfield. Hammond keeps shirking it and hiding from being the skipper we need.

By all account we do have a split camp, pro and anti Pardew players.

...which aint very good for team spirit and unity...no wonder we'ver been playing like *****.

So it's a pychological...thing anyone got Eileen Drury's number...Dalek?

Pretty sure there was a training ground bust up, heard from quite a few people now connected to one of the saints players that hes been saying it was pardew and hammonds wife

Well they should never have let Hammond's wife on the training ground.

I blame Cortese.

Fonte chined Pardew, is the story I was told.

This is the same crap Kevin Phillips came out with when Steve Wrigley was appointed. Look where it got us. The only one I'd like to hear from is Nicola Cortese explaining all that has transpired. We've a right to know. Players need to do there talking with their feet, heads and whatever it takes to play winning football. :(

I think this is reading too much into things actually. It read to me that the players were dispirited (for whatever reason) after AP was sacked (as they clearly were) and NA has come in and brought the smiles back......simple! It actually tells or hints at nothing more at all!

If you play that interview backwards, it tells the whole story of the training ground fallout in all it's gory details. And something about Jimmy Page being the devil and Paul McCartney being dead.

To me we didn't look like the team that we were last season before Mr Negative was releaved of his duties. I personally, think a number of things went wrong over the summer.

We really don't.

Still waiting to hear where saint_mears got his info from too. I suspect the voices in his head told him, but will wait for proof otherwise.

It will even smarter if the team can start winning games, and we can get out of this pig awful division.

Heard the interview. Didn't think there was anything significant in it at all, especially not in relation to the sacking. Just your normal rhetoric - means bugger all.
