Peugeot 308 ipod connection

This is maybe not the best forum I could have asked this in, but saves me signing up to one just to ask this question. I just rented a Pug 308 ( the HDI 90 if anyone is interested ) for a trip with my nan. It has an ipod connection in the arm rest but is there anyway I can choose what play list it plays from the ipod? Want to be able to listen to some family friendly stuff but go a few things that nans dont like.
