Dewhurst Butchers (Shirley) - Saturday Boy during school time, all round monkey during school holidays. Loved it! Was a bloody great first job. 2001-2003

USC Clothing (West Quay) - Sales Assistant - 2003

Got into the Electrical Installation game in January 2004 and still, for some reason, find myself in it today. Get to work all over the South of England and London though so get to travel and see alot, which makes it a bit easier to put up with.

Sorry for being thick but what is a TAV job? Also where are you now and are you still in the same field of work?

Tav used t be a recruitment agency near the cenotaph if I remember correctly.

Bingo Geneva! TAV was an agency, had lots of short term, mostly manual, contract work, all I could get in the early 80s recession. The one I worked for was by the Bargate though. Moved away to go to Sussex University at 24, afterwards got into the NHS contracting (planning heathcare), did a couple of funding jobs giving other peoples money away, worked at Monterey Bay aquarium, and now work for a ocean conservation charity based in Washington (though I work in UK). Still live in Sussex.

Wonder what happened to TAV. First stop for student jobs back in the early 80's.

Regular ones were Mr Kipling, (mind blowingly boring), THe Smiths factory at Portchester, The Egg processing place at Chandlers Ford, some distribution depot near the docks. All great fun !!

For a holiday job when I was about to head to college I cleaned the toilets at the Nuclear Research place down at Winfrith while the regular cleaners were on holdiay.

Once forgot my pass and gained access to the Plutonium processing plant loos by using the bottom of a doughnut box (fact)

You'll always spot me when I'm back for midweek games, I glow in the dark.

Ah those were the days, the road in took ages with all the concealed Russkie spies trying to get a look at the place
