Saint Martini Posted 3 October, 2008 Share Posted 3 October, 2008 The last sentence is the perfect ending to that little story. Enjoyed getting back in the swing of things? Absolutely. I've loved every moment of it.

equalizer Posted 4 October, 2008 Share Posted 4 October, 2008 He almost sounded like Michael Caine in Get Carter!! I was half expecting him to say, "Your a big bloke but your out of shape, and with me its a full-time job, so behave yourself!" :smt043
Iowsaintsfan Posted 4 October, 2008 Share Posted 4 October, 2008 A skysports poll names Joe Kinnear as worst caretaker appointment ever. Ian Huntly came a close second
Barney Trubble Posted 5 October, 2008 Share Posted 5 October, 2008 Fair play for him for having a go at the media but he surely he realises that there are more constructive ways of expressing yourself. He had made a total fool of himself and I was actualy embarrassed for him when I listened. It made me think that he must have once had a statement of special needs

Rory Posted 5 October, 2008 Share Posted 5 October, 2008 Am I the only one who thinks this is really cringe-worthy? I'm not sure why people are calling him a "legend" for doing it. If anything, it makes him look rather dense and the journalists are practically laughing at his tirade. He resorts to crude language to get his point across in a rather immature way. He has become an even bigger laughing stock, IMO.
Crab Lungs Posted 5 October, 2008 Share Posted 5 October, 2008 I'm kinda split on it... I can see why he's done it (siege mentality 'n' all etc) but the cliched line about "doing my job to the best of my ability" made me cringe...
Minty Posted 6 October, 2008 Share Posted 6 October, 2008 The Press have won that one then. What a **** Kinnear is, in many ways, but as soon as you let the press know they've got to you, they've won. He clearly doesn't have the charisma or verbal dexterity to deal with them so his best bet is to shut up.
