Deanovski Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 I really do not agree with who ever that was on the radio if he was why didn't Guly play.
Colinjb Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 Couldn't care less if he is right now, just so long he is a busy man.
Badger Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 i really do not agree with who ever that was on the radio if he was why didn't guly play. wtf?
Deanovski Posted 15 September, 2010 Author Posted 15 September, 2010 On the radio, some one referred to him as a yes man.
Deanovski Posted 15 September, 2010 Author Posted 15 September, 2010 Is there any need for this after 1 game? Was not me who said this.
Deanovski Posted 15 September, 2010 Author Posted 15 September, 2010 I realise this. just making sure.
Deanovski Posted 15 September, 2010 Author Posted 15 September, 2010 Is it half term already? Hasnt your school gone back yet?
MarkSFC Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 Blackmore or Merrington (cant remember which) made the point that as Adkins (alledgedly) refusedcto resign and insured that the deal be done fairly and properly, then he most certainly is not a yes man. I tend to agree. I think he is a decent bloke with principals but had a very clear vifion kn what he wants snd how he's going to get it. His " I'm the manager of the football club" comment yesterday also suggests he is his own man.
ART Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 The deal was, you win, you get to pick the team, you lose, I (NC) get to pick the team. Simple!
Red Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 Yes. Adkins is a man. Are you ITK, or is this just more speculation? :-)
1976_Child Posted 15 September, 2010 Posted 15 September, 2010 Are you ITK, or is this just more speculation? :-) yeah, heard it from a mate. His sister's hairdresser's dog-walker's aunt is Fonte's cleaner. She says that Adkins was round there yesterday and mistook her for Ms Fonte. Definitely a man.
Pancake Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 Hasnt your school gone back yet? Nice retort, did your Mum have to type it for you? It's just that I notice it was correct, for once.
david in sweden Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 I really do not agree with who ever that was on the radio if he was why didn't Guly play. A YES man !....if someone doubled your salary and gave you a long contract ..so would you be , too !
SaintRichmond Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 Adkins main handicap at the moment is that he does not know the players He has had to go on what Dean Wilkins has said re strengths , weaknessess, ability etc Enough said
saint1977 Posted 16 September, 2010 Posted 16 September, 2010 I was impressed with his post-match comments. He didn't try to fob anyone off with Wilkins-type excuses, he knew the second half performance was a shocker but feels that he probably has about 7 or 8 Southampton calibre players from the first half display, esp Morgan and Chamberlain. Reading between the lines, he knows we lack pace and width so expect movement soon, possibly today or tomorrow on that. He'll have observed Hammond and one or two others need shipping out as their wages are too high to be back-up players (there are better free transfers available). Puncheon really must sort himself out, the reference to his set pieces from NA was very obvious and rightly so, Puncheon is very lazy and needs discipline. I think he'll bring in 6 or 7 new faces that can cope with playing with a club our size and history and hopefully that will disperse the negative vibes and we can ship a few of these losers out of the squad that NA doesn't want.
Deanovski Posted 16 September, 2010 Author Posted 16 September, 2010 A YES man !....if someone doubled your salary and gave you a long contract ..so would you be , too ! wow, read.
Deanovski Posted 16 September, 2010 Author Posted 16 September, 2010 Nice retort, did your Mum have to type it for you? It's just that I notice it was correct, for once. Well done. I do not see how you can refer to me as a child for bringing up the fact multiple fans referred to him as a yes man last night. Obviously taking part in a debate strains on you, oh those frothy mouthed ones are the best.
