HTC Wildfire or Samsung Galaxy Apollo?

It's time for the wife to upgrade her phone.

I've narrowed it down to the above two (but I'm open to suggestions however it's got to be Android OS) which are both available on T-Mobile for £20/month with 600 minutes, 500 texts, unlimited internet and a flexible booster.

I'd appreciate your thoughts, and if anyone has either phone I'd love to know your opinions.

pretty much of a muchness, the Samsung one is vanilla Android, the HTC one has the Sense UI overlay. Samsung has a faster processor, HTC better camera. If I was picking I would go for the HTC - in fact thats what I am getting for my wife when her contract is up.

My wife has a Wildfire on the exact tarrif you mention.

 

It's an excellent bit of kit for £20 a month.

I have the HTC Legend, I really like it,

 

battery lasts about 20 seconds though, the only downside.

I have an HTC Hero and I'm really impressed with it.

So I'm kind of going with you guys at the moment.

I haven't come across anyone with the Samsung yet.

It's big brother (Galaxy S) is very highly rated.

Are you sure those are phones? I think you'll find they're American football teams.

I went in to town and had a look at both today.

I definitely prefer the HTC, it's far more intuitive.

The only downside is the screen resolution.

Other than that, it's a winner.

Decision made.

HTC Wildfire is a smartphone on a budget. It's not gonna be perfect or amazing, but it'll do the job well enough and will be cheaper than the other smartphones out there.
