Clearly going to be one of those players who ALWAYS scores against Saints.

Best news of the day was when I heard KD mullered him and dislocated his shoulder. Shame the challenge didn't break both of his legs also.

On a side note, I still find it odd how Swindon new about/took a punt on a player who was playing non league in our neck off woods, yet we didn't.

Their 50k gamble is now worth 1 million plus. Even if he is a jumped up arrogant little c*nt.

You are an idiot. I hope you get all of your limbs smashed to pieces. Not much danger of any further damage to your brain though, is there?

You're so clever.

apparantly he was offered to us when Lowe was in charged but Lowe wasn't interested.

lmao, I think that's another fantasy of people that are STILL frothing over Lowe. Charlie Austin, in both age and price would have appealed to Lowe's "vision" ...

Unfunny aswell as a mong.
Anyone who uses that word to insult someone has got to be lacking in a certain amount of intelligence, as well as a social conscience.

To the subject at hand, a player I would love to see in a Saints shirt one day (soon).

Of course it does

How about "I think I'm clever sitting behind my keyboard all day saying things I wouldn't dream of saying if I saw said person at a game."

c*ck.

What a sad post from a bitter person. When you grow up and mature, you will not wish anyone to suffer the type of injuries that you wished on Charlie Austin, a decent player.

I'd have Austin (and their no. 14 CB) in our team quite happily. Think he's very useful, don't like to see any player injured.

I did hope Pericard left the stadium to find he had a parking ticket, though...

He was going to Boscombe but didn't because of their transfer embargo, we were never offered him, and never showed any interest in him. That came from Tommy Killick Poole Town's Manager.

:) So you will up his dislocated shoulder and broken legs with a complete set limbs smashed to pieces. I would stop messing around with the preamble and go straight to nuclear Armageddon.

All this kid has done is work his way up from non-league, fight for a place in the team, get there, and start scoring goals.

Does he have "an attitude"? Yes, most of the good ones do. It's a pity that we're so short of players who lay it on the line every game, like he does.

It was shameful to me to see so many of our fans rejoicing at his injury, but you've outdone them all, Colbury.

Pathetic.

Back to the topic. As I live in Swindon and was surrounded by STFC supporters at my Sunday morning team's cup game (drew 5-5 after being 3-0 and 4-3 down but lost on penalties - that'll bring the crowds back) I was told/discussed a few things.

1. Can we play you every week? (Ho ho)

2. Saints are a good team and will be near the top of the table come the season's end.

3. Charlie Austin is out for 12 weeks or more.

He's a decent lad, who's worked his way up and I hope he makes it to a higher level one day. It's a shame modern football isn't more about players like him instead of the jumped up tw*ts in the Premiership.

tbf i have heard he is extremely arrogant and looks down on a lot of people. Didnt he give it large to our fans in the jpt as well? Not wishing him injury, but I dislike him, and i'm surprised others dont as well.

He did indeed - but don't tell me you wouldn't want him in our team at the moment (ignoring his injury of course). Edited by kpturner

Its times like this that I miss the highly intellectual insight of Dave Benson Phillips, I'm sure he would have something to say on this topic.

Anyway, I think Austin is a twonky gaylord!!!!

he behaved like a knob in jpt - billy big shoes!
...but he made one goal with a cracking cross and scored another....so, extremely irritated as I was by his billy big shoes behaviour, I could not help but have a bit of admiration for his efforts....kinda wish he was in a Saints shirt really.
