Dr Who? Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 that was a substitution as well...Wilkins for Pardew..... Brilliant!! ha ha ha
itchen_dan Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Time for an Everton like stoppage time performance We've got 4 mins added on! If Everton can score 2 in 3mins, we can score 2 in 4mins! Come On!!
alpine_saint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Same points as Dagenham and Redbridge. Inspiring....
Saint Fan CaM Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Merrington says "Swindon only created one chance and scored from it". Same old.
del boy Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 New manager next week, exciting times ahead - getting promotion from bottom of L1 is going to be quite a season, heads up!!
saintsmike25 Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 It's fun to be a Saints fan. I win money off us losing at least, this helped my accumulator.
Deppo Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Same points as Dagenham and Redbridge. Inspiring.... At least there is two other teams down with us on the same points.
Liquidshokk Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 I cant see us even beating MK dons the way we are now. That will show how far the team has fallen since last season.
SO16_Saint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Why do we put much ****ing time and emotion into this team?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Same points as Dagenham and Redbridge. Inspiring.... At least our goal difference is better:uhoh:
saintsmike25 Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Well a lack of pace is the problem in key areas, we're becoming far too direct and teams can nullify us easily.
alpine_saint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Why do we put much ****ing time and emotion into this team? A good question, that. Another 2 hours of my life gone, never to get back.
S-Clarke Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 swindon almost score again. we've lost this.
CanadaSaint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 We need a new coaching broom desperately. And we're going to get one.
RedArmy Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 How does a team go from 1.8 goals per game, to struggling to score?
Thedelldays Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 scunny 2-0 down.. adkins ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
lambertsrightleg Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 no pace, no creativity/no antonio, no waigo
bjk Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Cortese has to sort this out quick,we can't go on like this.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 I think I would sack Wilkins based purely on the last two results. Look at the supposed quality in the squad and he has managed to mastermind another defeat against a poorly performing team in Swindon. Now it looks like Hammond could be sent-off.
Ohio Saint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 "Wake me up when we are in the Premiersip" ~ Rip van Winkle
S-Clarke Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 deano going off would just cap a wonderful day and a wonderful start to the season.
itchen_dan Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Dirty tackle from Hammond?? Solent didn't see it. They're good aren't they
dubai_phil Posted 11 September, 2010 Author Posted 11 September, 2010 We played this lot and lost 3-0 and we play them again soon after so OBVIOUSLY we change tactics and try a different approach this time! Don't we? Merrington keeps saying we are having a good spell! WE ARE LOSING 1-0 to A TEAM AT THE BOTTOM OF DIVISION 3 WITHOUT A WIN THIS SEASON (except against us that is) FF SAKE! Yes, we did. Puncheon in the middle of a Diamond formation. Was discussed at length in the build up on Solent. HTH
Saint Without a Halo Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Easy really you dont shoot you dont score!
alpine_saint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 no pace, no creativity/no antonio, no waigo Yep, and the fault for that lies at the door of Pardew. Reckon this was going to happen under him too.
Liquidshokk Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 I'm glad Liebherr didnt have to see this downward spiral....
Johnny Shearer Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Back to relegation favourites again. Oh well, it's what i'm used to as a saints fan anyway. Get a grip.
Toomer Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 We are a shadow of the side that finished last season Cortese needs to get it sorted out ASAFP.
dubai_phil Posted 11 September, 2010 Author Posted 11 September, 2010 What a load of effort based cr@p
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Yep, and the fault for that lies at the door of Pardew. Reckon this was going to happen under him too. Agenda suiting SPECULATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
S-Clarke Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 FT another shocking result, i thought we'd draw at least here. We still have a chance, but we can now only realistically have 3 or 4 more defeats all season if we want to win the league. That may be impossible, there's a chance we could end up scraping away to get into the playoffs at this rate, which would be shocking.
St Lej Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Dunno what Merrington is on about, that sounded like another dour , uninspiring, lack of ideas, crap performance. No real chances last 20 minutes. Still, according to DM , that the "best performance under Dean Wilkins"... Thank **** for that, i can sleep easier now. What a joke
Causer Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 A very small ray of sunshine, is at least the Skates are bottom.
mitch01 Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Yep, and the fault for that lies at the door of Pardew. Reckon this was going to happen under him too. I disagree wholeheartedly. Although we didnt play well vs Plymouth and Orient, we still should have won both of those games.
Thedelldays Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 I disagree wholeheartedly. Although we didnt play well vs Plymouth and Orient, we still should have won both of those games. shoulda woulda coulda....but we did not
alpine_saint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 I disagree wholeheartedly. Although we didnt play well vs Plymouth and Orient, we still should have won both of those games. Tactics too predictable and too easy to play against.
itchen_dan Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 A very small ray of sunshine, is at least the Skates are bottom. Yeh, but so are we (joint bottom).
Toomer Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 A very small ray of sunshine, is at least the Skates are bottom. No ray of sunshine Causer as most of us don't give a feck about the Skates.
Saint Pete Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Yep, and the fault for that lies at the door of Pardew. Reckon this was going to happen under him too. We'll never know now will we, as we got shot of our manager after 3 games of the season. What we do know is that we got 83 points last season with Pardew in charge, so he can't have been that bad.
SNSUN Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 If we don't get promoted this season, i'll be peed off. But, i'll be much more depressed at losing Fonte, Lallana, Lambert and Morgan. They won't stick around for another season. Then, sadly, we'll be back to square one, rebuilding a new team to push for promotion. We could be in League One a while yet. Over -dramatic, perhaps, but tinged with realism.
del boy Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 scunny 2-0 down.. adkins ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut Bournemouth win 3-0 to go one point from the top though
Matthew Le God Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Yeh, but so are we (joint bottom). Saints aren't joint bottom. They would only be joint bottom if goal difference etc was the same. Which it isn't. Saints are 22nd.
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 This group of players just arent good enough. Simple as that. They aren't a promotion winning group. Useless. If my fiver for here was up for renewal right now, I wouldnt bother. Losing interest.....
niemi14 Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Wilkins isn't up to it, but the players have to take a portion of the blame as they just aren't performing ... when will Lambert score again?
westmidlandsaint Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 Well a lack of pace is the problem in key areas, we're becoming far too direct and teams can nullify us easily. also a total lack of creativity in midfield, in 7 games we've failed to score v plymouth, swindon (x2), rochdale & bolton
Saint Without a Halo Posted 11 September, 2010 Posted 11 September, 2010 A very small ray of sunshine, is at least the Skates are bottom. ERR so are we but a divison lower and with supposedly the best squad in the league! (On points anyway only goal difference is keeping us in a heady 22nd place)
