I could not go today and only listened on the radio but once again a lot of possession and chances but cannot hit a barn door and conceded a soft goal after a needless free kick given away. Depressing but not the end of the world. :(

But the third game on the trot....it might not be the end of he world but it certainly is not making things easier for the new manager..if we ever get one! He is still expected to take us up this year.

Just back, it actually wasn't as bad as the result suggests. It was sooo much worse. It wasn't even what I'd call football. I couldn't differentiate between what was supposed to be a cross, a pass, a shot or just a clearance. They were just kicking it hopelessly in random directions. In the first half it seemed we were trying to play route 1 football. It's bad enough just lofting it up to Lambert, but he wasn't even the target man most of the time. It was David f**king Connelly trying to outjump a centre half who had a 1ft head start on him. There is NOTHING possitive I can say about today. Davis putting Austin in a coma was mildly entertaining, but even that was down to sloppy defending.

S**t!

0-3

0-2

0-1

Can nobody else see that Wilkins is starting to get it right - he's heading in the right direction. Give him the job :0)

Seriously, this again underlines that we don't have a squad that is the envy of anyone and it is certainly not the best in our division. Too many plodders who offer nothing creative.

Let's get a new manager in quick and make some loan signings because that is the only way we'll get a squad that can mount a serious promotion challenge. The current bunch with a few exceptions just aint got it I'm afraid.

The stewards were pr*cks too. Got there started looking for my seat and a couple of them told me it was free seating. Went and found a space and as we were standing up some kids came and stood behind us. Then another steward came up, told us to go to our seats and started shoving me into Stevegrant to the point where I couldn't actually move anywhere, all the time telling us to go to our seats. Eventually ended up sat on my own somewhere near the back, in front of a guy with a voice like a post op transexual who was loudly adding complete bullsh*t commentary to the whole game.

After Swindon last year I thought it could only get better and it did. After today's game I didn't think it could get much worse. We don't create anything at all. We have a system which doesn't work and is easily dealt with by our opponents. One tactical switch by way of 2 substitutions from their manager which we didn't counter and it took them about 3 minutes to score. And they looked likely to add to it too at the end.

Poor game from both sides, never flowed at all.

The free kick for their goal was a ****ing joke, never a foul in a million years.

Highlight of the game was seeing that cvnt Austin get clattered, the way the Swindon fans reacted from the challenge was stupid, Kelvin had every right to go for that challenge.

Bring on the manager and hopefully bring on some passion, because there was none on that pitch today.

if guly is a footballer,im matt le tiss,he should never wear a saints shirt again.we were woeful.we even made a poor team like swindon look good.our players need to take a good hard look at themselves,on this performance we will do well to stay up.nc has imo made a mistake in sacking pardew without a replacement lined up.onwards and upwards i hope.wifm

****e game - typical of the league in general. Like last season, it doesn't take much to win a game or string together a run.

Hammond and Harding were very poor today. Pericard got the better of Fonte (especially) and Martin - looks good at this level (shame we didnt get him when we were linked to him in Jan).

Connolly and Schneiderlin were the only ones who had half-decent games. Lambert, who looked a bit better today but still miles away from his form nothing last season, dropped deep far too often, isolating Connolly and forcing him to lead the line. Connolly coped as best he could thats not his game.

Incredible that even when we were losing, nobody pushed up. OXO who blew hot and cold (I wouldnt start him away from home) enjoyed much more possession in the 2nd half. Nonetheless, crosses had to be repeatedly delayed so that the odd renegade body could amble into the box.

While the tactics and one-dimensional play are a direct inheritance from Pardew -so today shouldnt obscure a deeper rot, at least he was able to inject a bit of urgencyin to proceedings. That and Barnard and AL's absence ae the major difference between the two managers.

Time to ask some tough questions of players like Hammond. At the very least, a new manager will bring a fresh eye to the squad and not featherbed players who under AP and DW have had it far too easy.

I thought Péricard looked sharper, stronger and more interested than Lambert. Fonte and Puncheon were poor, even Kelvin dropped an easy cross. Butterfield just hoofs it and Hammond ran around in circles. DC's legs have gone and there was nothing on the bench. Really really worried now, it was so poor.

I'm so ****ed off that if i do comment it'll be a rant so I will echo this comment.

 That wasn't actually me, I was stood to the left of Steve at the far end of the away stand. Never actually spoke to that steward, he just kept shoving me.

Steve, an old chap and the dribbly spitter appeared in front of me just before kick off, stood leaning on the white railing behind the goal and got moved on, much to the dribbly spitters disgust!

Yeah, we got moved on before that. I went and found a seat behind where you would have been sat and saw them getting moved again.

Scene at NC’s office Monday 8am :

NC: Miss Money Pound do you like my new large Italian flag?

MP: Yes Nicky it looks just great on the wall above you – no one could possibly miss it!

NC: And Money, please show that idiot ..... I mean Wilkins in, grazie.

NC: Ah Simplekins, mattina. How was your weekend?

DW: Very good thank you God Father, I mean Mr. Cortese Sir, I mean Sir Cortese, no no I mean Lord Cortese ... I think?

NC: buono, buono. Actually mine was merda, grande merda!!!

DW: Oh really what happened?

NC: Never mind that I have MON waiting in reception, so I will get to the point – YOU ARE FIRED!!!

DW: But but but, sorry I don’t mean your backside – but I did everything you asked of me??

NC: che cosa (what the ****)?

DW: Well you asked me to keep a clean sheet and show some goals, and I did that in all three games.

NC: stupido!!!! Even a football virgin like me knows you have to keep a clean sheet for your team and score against the other team !

DW: Well for a Swiss you certainly weren’t precision enough in your instructions! I think I have a good case for unfair dismissal

NC: Buono, sue me in the Swiss courts, now vaffanculo ciao !

An awful, woeful, clueless performance with zero leadership both on the pitch and on the bench. No attacking flare, just hopeless hoofball for 90 minutes. Swindon werent really much better, just typically got that bit of luck. A special mention to 3 players though, Schneiderlin, OXC and Martin. Schneiderlin looked like the only player who cared and put himself about, OXC (although very raw) has clearly got huge potential, and Martin looked assured and comfortable.

I just wish I could say such positives about the rest of the team... I mean whats wrong with Lambert???

You can thank your other players for getting to the ref after the Hammond challenge on ball that your captain hasnt got a 3 game ban. A two footed lunge over the top of the ball. Very simmilar to the Barnard sending off, losing his temper because you are losing. Arrogance?

Austin will be back for the 5 in a row!
