toofarnorth Posted 11 September, 2010 Share Posted 11 September, 2010 I have a samsung r519 laptop that has 4gb of ram, but apparently as it runs windows 7 32 bit it can only use 3gb of this. I therefore want to know if I can take out one of the 2gb modules and put it in my netbook (asus eepc 1005p) and then put the 1gb module from my netbook into the laptop to make it 3gb. Not sure how i'd go about finding out if they are compaitable so any help advice would be appreciated.
Danny Posted 11 September, 2010 Share Posted 11 September, 2010 The Crucial website has a "scan my system" option which will tell you what type of memory your system uses. I guess if both come up the same type you can swap them over. http://www.crucial.com/uk/
