ladysaint Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 sorry but been busy today so not had time to read through all the post, but has anybody any information on the above?
Trader Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 I f*cking hope not, looks like he's been on the sauce far too long. Bit of a sad figure now.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Yep, former Real Madrid managers aren't good enough for us.
The boy done well Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Not sure what would makes you think (if you do) that he might be in the running. I'd even rather have Phil Brown...but on second thoughts.......!
Chorlton Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Maybe Toshack & Keegan will both join us and manage us by telepathy
sotonswan Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 I will probably be ex-communicated (by the Welsh) for this but . . . . Look at it from Toshack's POV. He's due a blazer, a lifetimes's supply of free beer , and a position on a Committee of some considerable (disputed) influence - the FAW. It is what every true Welshman aspires to. I can't see him giving up all these status symbols just to manage Southampton.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 If hes appointed, then god help us!!!
Dalek2003 Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Toshack, good in his time. Now a Dinosaur. Mind you, could be a good 'retro' appointment.
BadgerBadger Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Why would he be in the running - why why why! Surely consistency is the rule and he's well past his sell by date.
Synergy Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Yep, former Real Madrid managers aren't good enough for us. Tell you what should we dig up Bill Shankley's corpse? HCDAJFU

Read all the nostalgia tonight, as i said, would be a good reto manager. In the same category, how about George Graham ? or Graham Taylor. Trying to think of some more 'retro' managers that are still around today.
gonzo Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 He's appeared from nowhere to skybet's third favourite at 8/1. But then Martin O'Neill was evens for a while, and I'm sure I saw Barack Obama in the listings at 3/1 at one point.

Dalek2003 Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Wilf McGuinness, fatastic success at Man U and still only 72! Or maybe not. Hmme maybe. Norwich's own Ken Brown is still around. Is 'Big Ron' still on the planet ?
lordswoodsaints Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 In the early 90's I was in Spain for a while and they loved him, everytime he gave an interview the Spanish used to go nuts about him. That man from the 90's is not the man you see today and although he has a wealth of experience but he's not the right man for us.

charliegeorgesflymo Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 why would you even suggest this? - ridiculous

I think the 'burn a koran pastor' might even be in the running tomorrow night depending on the success of his plannned 'barbecue'.
Badger Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Hmme maybe. Norwich's own Ken Brown is still around. Is 'Big Ron' still on the planet ? Is John Bond still breathing ?
