I will probably be ex-communicated (by the Welsh) for this :D but . . . .

Look at it from Toshack's POV.

He's due a blazer, a lifetimes's supply of free beer , and a position on a Committee of some considerable (disputed) influence - the FAW.

It is what every true Welshman aspires to.

I can't see him giving up all these status symbols just to manage Southampton.

Why would he be in the running - why why why!

Surely consistency is the rule and he's well past his sell by date.

Read all the nostalgia tonight, as i said, would be a good reto manager.

In the same category, how about George Graham ? or Graham Taylor.

Trying to think of some more 'retro' managers that are still around today.

He's appeared from nowhere to skybet's third favourite at 8/1. But then Martin O'Neill was evens for a while, and I'm sure I saw Barack Obama in the listings at 3/1 at one point.

Hmme maybe. Norwich's own Ken Brown is still around.

Is 'Big Ron' still on the planet ?

In the early 90's I was in Spain for a while and they loved him, everytime he gave an interview the Spanish used to go nuts about him.

That man from the 90's is not the man you see today and although he has a wealth of experience but he's not the right man for us.

I think the 'burn a koran pastor' might even be in the running tomorrow night depending on the success of his plannned 'barbecue'.
