Matty's Caddy Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Where is the best place to park for the game? Preferably free and not too far away from the ground, thanks.

Saint Garrett Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 By the looks of the research that I have done (practically nothing) there seems to be a housing estate in walking distance from the ground ?! Might be able to park around there for free...
dellish Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 go in cricket ground behind ground free plus clubhouse open .... was last season ..
St Mikie Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 'I'm alright Jack', I've got my Mum's house a mile up the road! You might want to try the big Tesco's or Go Outdoors stores which are around the back of the ground. Otherwise the cricket ground as above is usually OK. Just be careful leaving your car in the Walcot estate, at least if you want all four wheels when you go home!
marc_saint Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 go in cricket ground behind ground free plus clubhouse open .... was last season .. They normally charge £5 to park there.
SN5_Saint Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 It's an easy place to park up. There are several multi-story car parks in the town centre of which there are 3 approx 10 mins walk away. You will find street parking even closer but the 1 or 2 hour time limit means you are chancing it. As already stated there is a Tesco 5 min walk away too. There is little in the way of housing estates near the ground apart from the Walcot estate already mentioned. I went to school there so I'm not going to knock it but it's one of the less privileged parts of town. Otherwise it's all older housing with traditional street parking with time limits. I'll be parking in Tesco or if I get there too late for a space I'll take my chances with a free 2 hour street place. If I get really desperate I'll resort to paying in Spring Gardens multi-storey at the back of the Jurys Inn hotel.
dickyhale Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 Last year we parked at Spring Gardens car park about 10 mins walk postcode SN1 2SA

oxfordshire_saint Posted 10 September, 2010 Posted 10 September, 2010 There's a college/school quite close to the ground that did parking for a resonable price last season
