Mercury Prize 2010

So, The XX won the prize then. Not the choice I would've made tbh. Their album is good, but it drags a lot sometimes and it's completely maudlin. If I was judging, I would've picked Laura Marling's album 'I Speak Because I Can', which is absolutely amazing. Still, at least Dizzee Rascal didn't win...

I like Villagers, but the XX album probably deserved it. It is a great album in that sort of minimalistic style which they pull off very well.

The I am klook album is great and was hoping for that to win. XX is a good album but they need to cheer up a bit.
