NFI - and my guesses are usually wide off the mark... Q is whether Cortese goes foreign because they will be more aligned with the structure and less ossessed with controlling every aspect of the footballing side of things, or whether he sees someone who understand the L1, CCC needs as a priority - its not an easy question to answer, as obvious benefits and draw backs to both?

This is the NAMES thread not the speculative logical reasoning thread.

European - Leonardo - although Brazilian, he has Italian citizenship, so he and Cortese could talk the same language

Wow - MON, and if he came its inconceivable that he would agree to play second fiddle to Les Reed, so would be a fantastic step forward.

English up and coming - not what I fancy, although it is what I most expect, but like Pardew it could just as easily turn out to be a down and going. Almost doesn't matter who, as this option would just be another gamble.

Up and Coming - Eddie Howe with a respectable DoF ( Maybe Coppell as Id pity the young lad dealing fully with Cortese)

I dont think I have the same understanding of 'up and coming English manager' after reading many of the suggestions. Would Adkins be classed as that? Will he ever be in the reckoning for a top PL job????

If we knew whether he'll ever be in the reckoning for a top job we'd probably try and find some way of making money out of that knowledge.

 

If he can take Scvnthorpe into the Championship he must have some talent as a manager, how far that goes remains to be seen.

 

Hence 'up and coming'.

Not so sure about his opposite number in those forum matches......

 

I understand that the bookies have dubai_phil, our next Saints Head coach.. at 5 mil-1 worth a punt..

 

Led to believe he would definitely need a DOF who knew what he was doing.

I wish to state that there is no truth in the rumour that I travelled to the UK last week at Short Notice arriving after AP had bee fired

There is no truth in the rumour that I went to SMS while in the UK

(they were all true OK? Not rumours)

 

 

Now, I'm really surprised nobody has mentioned the obvious candidate for DOF on here. Has to be LLS/Cherrypip

You are right I have gone undercover, luckily i dont't think any of the other posters have picked me yet under my new guise.

Well Adkins is hardly a spring chicken....well he doesn't look that young.

How close is West Hill to you, I have a new customer who lives there. i was going to say did he know you but i didn't want to torpedo the deal .Lol

OK so things have been interesting the past days.

 

Seems we have all been taken in by the new approach of Interviewing a NUMBER of potential candidates (blimely when did we ever have more than one good manager applying for the job!)

 

So I thought I'd bump this to see if we can now extract WHO we think has actually been interviewd by NC.

 

Phil Brown - OK easy that one.

 

Seems to me like the others include

 

KK

Shearer (with or without KK)

Howe (quietly probably)

MoN

Some ex player who is now overseas that may be Petrescu, Killer or Golac

 

John Gregory???

That is the right village.......surrounded by top exfootball players, exsaint SW......ALSO a few good villians..so be careful who your customer is....a great deal of old bill and a real gent

I drove past there back in July with my tent & GF, never thought I'd get to that part of Devon and there I was with a good old fashioned no tapatalk mobile, couldn't even PM you.

 

Never mind, should be back that way in about 20 years unless I come down to Tipton with the mighty Coombe some summer soon
