Since marrying a German I have been introduced to Schalke 04. After getting over the initial problem of supporting a team playing in royal blue shirts and white shorts we try to see them at least once at home and once away every season, and have seen some great games (esp winning at Bayern in their new stadium). However, I'd still always want Saints to beat them (but they wouldn't).

Been to see FC Tokyo play a half a dozen times and Yokohama Marinos once, would say I supported either team but I do look for FC Tokyo results.

FC Tokyo are mid-table J-League team, I would think the better J league teams could compete in the championship but probably not premier league standard.

When I lived in Singapore I went and watched Home United in the S-league. Standard there is not good at all.

I have a few teams i sort of support as spend a fair time in states each year. Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, Marlins and Miami FC (soon to be called Miami Strikers...), used to support Miami Fusion but they died when MLS cut the amount of teams in the league. Only reason i support those teams is that is where my partner is from. Her family take me along to the games when we visit. But as much as i try i don't have the same passion for them as the mighty Saints!

Well until this season when the copycat Melbourne Saints/Heart were created I had no other allegiance in the world of Football. Went to their 2-2 draw against Perth and was impressed by their style of play, which is saying something for the A-League!! Will definately return, as although the crowd was small the atmosphere was enjoyable and it helps saving money not having to buy either tops. Coincedence? Me think maybe not.

I've been to four Red Bulls Games this season, pace of the game and the atmosphere is odd but its still an opportunity to watch football. Most bizarre is the response to a corner kick - the entire stadium erupts as though they are expecting a goal. I also watch the preseason games with Man City and Spurs. Bale looked good in preseason as did Robbie Keane. Craig Bellamy was considered the "abusive child" the entire tour getting into trouble of some sort every night according to a friend at City. Bridge isn't well regarded or liked and it showed. No one chatted with him and they want rid of him.

Hoping Vegas manages to get an MLS team, otherwise I keep an eye on the Galaxy results because its near-ish and the missus like David.

My local team back in Denmark is AGF, got relegated last season, but is now clawing their way back into the 1. division. Adopted team in Norway is Viking Stavanger. Went to a fair few of their games last year, as I was working with a bunch of Viking-supporters.

Other the Saints, i also follow AFC Totton. We have been on the crest of a wave for the last 5 years or so, We got to Wembley in the FA vase, We finished runners up and then won the Wessex League, thus gaining promotion, we have reached the Zamaretto Div 1 play offs for the last two seasons, only to miss out on promotion and we won the Hampshire Senior Cup last season beating Aldershot 4-0 in the final. We are also about to move to a really decent new stadium in Calmore. These are exciting times for The Stags!

I have supported Melbourne Victory since the start of the A League... however, this season Melbourne Heart joined the league and wear Saints colours. A bit of a quandry really.

I used to work at the school right next door to Nadderud. Actually I also used to go to the Celtic supporters' club pub in Grunerløkka quite a bit with a Celtic supporting mate, cheapest beer I ever found in Oslo.

Melbourne Victory in the A-League and St Kilda in the AFL (Aussie Rules).

It's St Kilda I have to blame for my love of Southampton. It was about 10 years ago when we got Cable TV and started getting more than the one Premier League game on TV a week. When I discovered there was a team with the same name, colours, achieved a similar amount of success and had a man like MLT playing for them I was immediately hooked and have been ever since.

St Kilda have 1 premiership and 27 wooden spoons in our history. Last year we lost the Grand Final and this year we've made the final 4. Hopefully we can go all the way. If you get a chance to watch on TV, any support would be appreciated!

nothing says you know **** all about football quite like " They're my 2nd team"

I remember an article in 4-4-2 about 6 or 7 years ago with about 5 Reading fans who all supported Reading and someone else, Newcastle were mentioned a couple of times i seem to remember. Bunch of c*nts.

When I'm over seas I support Southampton Football Club.

SFC 'till I die and I hate Pompey and all that... don't change just because I have gone to mingle with the bloody foreigners.
