JustMike Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 As the title suggests...source, a club insider
alpine_saint Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 Past, present or future ? NC decided to cough up ? First sign of weakness from him.
alpine_saint Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 Maybe he should check his new manager wants him
Huntingdon Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 I'm sorry, but that must be ****** Reading will only let him go for a decent wedge of money - it's too late, the window has closed Letting him come back on loan would make no sense from a Reading point of view at all
Robsk II Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 I'm not sure Antonio is right as next manager.
Torres Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 There's our new manager! Better than Zola or Brown, tbf.
JustMike Posted 4 September, 2010 Author Posted 4 September, 2010 yeah yeah yep, really yeah yeah. loan would make sense seeing as he is not getting in Reading side plus he is on last year of his current contract. So id say a loan with option to buy.
JustMike Posted 4 September, 2010 Author Posted 4 September, 2010 Maybe he should check his new manager wants him i did think that too but then again, maybe he has?
leftback Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 no chance he hated him because he wanted his signing ...pappa to play or come on. and thats why he walked out after 20 mins at wycombe last year, yes walked out of d box shaking his head and left.thats how much he likes football and how passionate he is about US
StD Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 I'm not sure Antonio is right as next manager. ...And Papa as assistant!
S-Clarke Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 We tried to sign him but weren't willing to pay over 500k - that's the max we offered and Reading wouldn't budge. TBF i wouldn't be willing to pay over that for him either. He won't come here now, he's part of Readings first team and there isn't a chance he'd be allowed to come here on loan.
JustMike Posted 4 September, 2010 Author Posted 4 September, 2010 no chance he hated him because he wanted his signing ...pappa to play or come on. and thats why he walked out after 20 mins at wycombe last year, yes walked out of d box shaking his head and left.thats how much he likes football and how passionate he is about US riiight!
ladysaint Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 He was at the game today watching us though.
JustMike Posted 4 September, 2010 Author Posted 4 September, 2010 He was at the game today watching us though. yes he was, the 2 of them together may well have been just a chat but its a bit odd though dont you think?
shurlock Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 Great- next we're going to get done for tapping up.
Spudders Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 yes he was, the 2 of them together may well have been just a chat but its a bit odd though dont you think? Please please please please let it be true! I would LOVE it if we got him back again (not gay love!)
Arizona Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 Please please please please let it be true! I would LOVE it if we got him back again (not gay love!) Had your fill last weekend?
JustMike Posted 4 September, 2010 Author Posted 4 September, 2010 Had your fill last weekend? hahaha!
Spudders Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 Had your fill last weekend? You sir, need to infract yourself for this post! I'm shocked and saddened, this is the main board and as such humour is not allowed, especially after this afternoon. It's obvious from reading threads tonight that some people are close to the edge and this kind of post has no place on the main board. (also as you shared a room with me for several days, your post makes me scared as to what may have happened whilst I was in snoozy snooze land )
Badger Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 no chance he hated him because he wanted his signing ...pappa to play or come on. and thats why he walked out after 20 mins at wycombe last year, yes walked out of d box shaking his head and left.thats how much he likes football and how passionate he is about US may someone please fill me in?

I was out all night chocolatiering.
ART Posted 4 September, 2010 Posted 4 September, 2010 And this rate I am guessing that Pardew will be re-instated as manager by next week, as all it has been was a ploy to get the clubs refusing to loan us players to ease off. You have to give it to them for originality and screwing up all the rumour mongerers on this forum!
Colbury Posted 5 September, 2010 Posted 5 September, 2010 He was also out in town last night. Isn't coming on loan though, was just down for the day to "catch up with his boys" Source - The horses mouth.
positivepete Posted 5 September, 2010 Posted 5 September, 2010 no chance he hated him because he wanted his signing ...pappa to play or come on. and thats why he walked out after 20 mins at wycombe last year, yes walked out of d box shaking his head and left.thats how much he likes football and how passionate he is about US A poor attempt to rewrite history. Antonio was taken off to accommodate Puncheon moving back out wide. Puncheon was poor in central midfield that night, so Wotton was brought on to replace him, it was only the reluctance of Pardew to take Puncheon off that meant Antonio was subbed
Dan Johnson Posted 5 September, 2010 Posted 5 September, 2010 Saw him out on the **** in Southampton last night...could mean anything I suppose
Saint_lambden Posted 6 September, 2010 Posted 6 September, 2010 Saw this on ImageShack: Antonio supposedly at the game Saturday , but it might have been any home game since the Reading game as people in the crowd are wearing the sash. Not my photo btw , just saw it on there.
JustMike Posted 6 September, 2010 Author Posted 6 September, 2010 You're not my type. I was out all night chocolatiering. i have a name you know
ericofarabia Posted 6 September, 2010 Posted 6 September, 2010 He was also out in town last night. Isn't coming on loan though, was just down for the day to "catch up with his boys" Source - The horses mouth. Van Nistleroy is in town as well? New manager or the loanee centre forward we are looking for?

If true of course ?
Junior Mullet Posted 6 September, 2010 Posted 6 September, 2010 Saw this on ImageShack: Antonio supposedly at the game Saturday , but it might have been any home game since the Reading game as people in the crowd are wearing the sash. Not my photo btw , just saw it on there. I confirm that Antonio was at the game on Saturday. I saw him just after half time shaking hands with a few of the saints players as they came out (subs I think). Also walked past him after the game.
Lance Posted 6 September, 2010 Posted 6 September, 2010 I was in town Saturday night, awaiting my call for a loan move ;-)
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 6 September, 2010 Posted 6 September, 2010 If NC is organising the deal, I guess we should expect a 3-4 game loan after which he'll be replaced by another winger?
martel Posted 6 September, 2010 Posted 6 September, 2010 I met this guy the first time I visited the USA, it was in Newport, Rhode Island 1987, I could not remember his real name at the time, I waved him in to his drive way and as he got out I did apologize and asked if he played the part of Huggy Bear in Starsky and Hutch. His reply was "thats right my man" and introduced him self as Antonio Fargus, even had a drink with him later on. Just thought you all wanted to read that bit of useless information.

SaintNeil90 Posted 12 September, 2010 Posted 12 September, 2010 Mike, any more news on this? There is no news. He was just at the game watching as Reading weren't playing!
JustMike Posted 12 September, 2010 Author Posted 12 September, 2010 There is no news. He was just at the game watching as Reading weren't playing! maybe but he definitely met with NC. Maybe it was just a catch up. Guess we will find out when new manager comes in
Spudders Posted 12 September, 2010 Posted 12 September, 2010 I can't see that we'd wait until a new manager comes in if we had a chance to get Antonio back on loan. I'd love to be proven wrong, but if we were getting him back I think we'd have him by now?
derry Posted 12 September, 2010 Posted 12 September, 2010 maybe but he definitely met with NC. Maybe it was just a catch up. Guess we will find out when new manager comes in I had it checked with Brian Howard after this. The answer was, 'he is staying at Reading'.

I've been to Newport, RI as well in 1997 - didn't get to meet Antonio Fargus, or Michail Antonio either for that matter. HTH (or Tim)
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 24 September, 2010 Posted 24 September, 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/reading/9031012.stm Antonio signed a new deal with Reading until 2013. Shame we couldn't have sorted out a permanent deal in January.
Whitey Grandad Posted 24 September, 2010 Posted 24 September, 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/reading/9031012.stm Antonio signed a new deal with Reading until 2013. Shame we couldn't have sorted out a permanent deal in January. It wouldn't have mattered if we had signed a replacement in the summer.
saintjay77 Posted 24 September, 2010 Posted 24 September, 2010 This thread keeps popping back up and I keep thinking Antonio is NC's secret love child or something cause they keep having meetings. lol
Lord Duckhunter Posted 24 September, 2010 Posted 24 September, 2010 With every week that passes Antonio just gets better and better. Strange that he was on the bench a lot of the time and can't get in the Reading side. The way it's going, him and Papa will be up there with Shearer and Wallace this time next year.
Draino76 Posted 24 September, 2010 Posted 24 September, 2010 This thread keeps popping back up and I keep thinking Antonio is NC's secret love child or something cause they keep having meetings. lol I wouldn't have thought so.
