Watched first half online. Wilkins makes the same mistake as Pardew against blanket defence by getting us playing too narrow. We need Puncheon to hug the left touchline and OC wide right - they must be told to stay there so that Rochdale fullbacks have no choice but to go out wide to cover them. This will create space for runners and Lambert. Keep huffing and puffing up the middle with nobody wide and we'll get nowhere. It aint rocket science.

This is a lie, some of our best results last season came with those two up front.

Really? ive only ever seen Connolly come on and score when we have the game in the bag, last season we started with 451 then went to 442 with Connolly coming on. Same when we got Barnard, we tried 442 it didnt work so went back to 451 and late on he'll come on using the 442 formation. Guess what? we have been using the 442 formation all this season and its done us nothing, a win against a poor Bristol rovers side but loses against teams we would of thrashed last season.

I don't really understand why people are blaming Puncheon, in the build-up he's been solid and the only player actually looking to do things in the final third. Stop whinging.

You're right, it's clearly everybody elses fault he missed from 4 yards.
