The Law is a shambles

Just seen on Teletext, That a lady who kept her grandfathers war time pistol ( A family heirloom) for 29 years has been sentenced to 5 years prison. The judges in the case cannot decide whether she is entitled to appeal the prison sentence

 

Yet

 

A man who raped and strangled an 18 year old gets sentenced to eight years and is allowed to appeal his conviction.

 

This is in Scotland and just goes to show how stupid the law is in this country.

Its not as if she shot somebody with the pistol . The law is a total ass

There must be more to it than that.

 

My sister was clearing out the attic of her elderly neighbour, and found her neighbour's son's old gun which he'd kept since the first gulf war.

 

She took it to the local nick and handed it in, was asked to fill in a form and no further action was taken against anyone.

Sorry been in hibernation since yesterday result and statyed away from the forum for fear of becoming even more depressed.

 

As for the country Im talking about Scotland and these two cases which are doing the rounds. I think there must be more to the gun issue to I will do some more research
